0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Devin Thomas! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas gets a takedown into half guard. Thomas seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Thomas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rodriguez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Rodriguez is looking for a sweep. Thomas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Thomas is stalling here. Rodriguez is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Thomas seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rodriguez has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Thomas is looking to reverse the position. Rodriguez gets to mount! Thomas was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Rodriguez working the ground and pound effectively.

It looks like it's working - Rodriguez slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Thomas displaying calm under pressure there. Thomas is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Thomas tests Rodriguez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Rodriguez with a lazy takedown attempt and Thomas counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Thomas trying to control the pace. Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodriguez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Thomas throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rodriguez with a poor takedown and Thomas counters with a shoot takedown. Rodriguez fights it but they end up in guard. Thomas throws a strike but Rodriguez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Thomas is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodriguez passes into half guard. Rodriguez is pressing down on Thomas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Thomas is holding on for now. Thomas is looking to control Rodriguez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Thomas avoid being mounted? Thomas is concentrating on defense, preventing Rodriguez from advancing position.

Thomas holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Thomas pushes Rodriguez off looking to stand but Rodriguez dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rodriguez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Thomas counters with a single leg into guard. Rodriguez didn't expect that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rodriguez keeping moving, preventing Thomas from controlling successfully. Thomas might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rodriguez kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Thomas makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Thomas wants to pass the guard but Rodriguez is keeping the position. Thomas is working Rodriguez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodriguez is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Rodriguez struggling a bit here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that's the end of the fight! Devin Thomas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Thomas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wagner connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Wagner throws out a loose jab but Griffin uses good head movement to avoid it. Wagner lands a high kick!
Some wild striking there from Wagner.
Griffin tries to clinch up. A good leg kick by Wagner. Wagner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Griffin misses the shot to the body. Wagner on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wagner lands a left and a right that sends Griffin crashing to the canvas! Wagner dives into mount looking to finish!
Griffin is rocked! Wagner content just to control the position here. Oh Griffin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Griffin is looking to improve his position but Wagner isn't that keen on the idea. Griffin wants to hold on but Wagner pushes him away. Griffin seems to have got his legs back now.

Wagner is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Griffin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Griffin! Griffin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wagner is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Griffin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wagner is proving hard to escape from. Wagner looking for a sweep. Not yet Wagner, not yet. Wagner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Griffin defends well. Wagner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griffin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Griffin tries to stand but Wagner is controlling from the bottom.

letting Wagner counter with a right hand. Griffin misses with a combination
enabling Wagner to counter with a crisp jab. Wagner is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Wagner stalks Griffin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Griffin's face. Griffin staggers backwards, shaken. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ozzy Wagner dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We're now in half guard. Kirk keeping control of the position. Last frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Last with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kirk wants to hold on but Last pushes him away. Last working for a guillotine from mount but Kirk is in no mood to give up. Last is looking to stand but Last has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirk tries to hold on but Last postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Last tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Kirk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kirk sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Kirk works his way to full guard. Good work. Last decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Last. Last looks gassed! Kirk shoots in and bounces Last off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kirk is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Last utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kirk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close round but I would say that James Kirk will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Last tries to bum rush Kirk with a series of wild strikes but Kirk uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Last gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kirk to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kirk trying to control but Last is working from the bottom. Last throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Last looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kirk throws a leg kick which misses Last's front leg but catches the back leg as Last tries to avoid it. Last throws a head kick but Kirk moves out of range.
Last misses with a takedown and Kirk counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kirk is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kirk stands up and waves to Last to follow him.

Last has had enough of the clinch but Kirk keeps him there for the moment. Kirk has Last pressed against the cage, preventing Last from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Kirk lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Last backwards. Last letting Kirk take a breather here. Kirk is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Last pulls him back up using the underhooks. Last breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Last wants to clinch but Kirk slips to the side and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Kirk shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Last's guard. Kirk is stalling in the full guard. Kirk trying to control but Last is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Kirk dominated that second round. That's time! Kirk's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
An inside leg kick lands from Kirk. Last shoots and misses and Kirk counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Last not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kirk wants to control from the top but Last keeps moving. Kirk stands and throws Last's legs to the side, diving into side control. Kirk is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Last knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kirk staying calm. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirk trying to control the position but Last is working away. Kirk stands up and beckons Last to his feet. Kirk fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kirk circles away from the clinch attempt and Kirk counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kirk. Last is trying to drag Kirk to the mat but Kirk just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kirk prevents Last from breaking the clinch. Last pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Last gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kirk counters with a good low kick that Last was not able to check. James Kirk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ever Last. Kirk lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Last backs up against the cage.
Kirk closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kirk stalling. Last is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Last regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kirk. James Kirk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Last is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Last can't keep his opponent in guard - Kirk advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kirk decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kirk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kirk not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kirk trying to control from half guard but Last is working away. Last is looking to escape. Kirk seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Last wants to control but Kirk is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! James Kirk showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kirk has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fisticuffs will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fisticuffs uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hari.

Fisticuffs walks into a stiff left hand from Hari. Decent striking displayed by Hari there. Hari misses with a double jab.
Fisticuffs throws an overhand right that lands on Hari's shoulder, as Hari tries to avoid the shot. Fisticuffs closes the distance and pushes Hari back into the cage. Hari gets underhooks to prevent Fisticuffs's takedown attempt.
A short uppercut from Fisticuffs. Fisticuffs is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hari gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Punchy Fisticuffs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hari wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fisticuffs has him pressed against the cage. Hari looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Hari working hard to break the clinch. Hari is trying to break free. Fisticuffs goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hari prevents it.
Hari blocks a body shot from Fisticuffs. Fisticuffs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Hari finds it's way through Fisticuffs's defenses. Hari swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Badr Hari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hari throws a right and a left that both miss. Fisticuffs connects with a single shot there. Hari misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Fisticuffs counters with a solid body kick. Hari looks to land a right hand but Fisticuffs moved out of range. Hari leaves Fisticuffs with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hari throws a looping overhand right but Fisticuffs ducks down to avoid it. Hari scores with a sloppy right hand. Fisticuffs should have avoided that one. Fisticuffs fails with the takedown. Fisticuffs with a body punch. A glancing blow. Hari throws a right hand that Fisticuffs ducks under and follows up with a left that Fisticuffs also avoids with ease. Hari slips a jab and a cross from Fisticuffs.
Hari clobbers Fisticuffs with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hari lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fisticuffs at a distance.
Hari throws a lazy head kick and Hari takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fisticuffs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hari swivels and escapes. Fisticuffs is breathing heavily. Hari stalks Fisticuffs and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fisticuffs's face. Fisticuffs staggers backwards, shaken. A punch combination from Hari misses. Fisticuffs takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Hari uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fisticuffs has time to react. Hari misses with a series of wild punches.
Hari lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fisticuffs circles away quickly and effectively. Fisticuffs dodges the punch combination from Hari.
Hari throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A head kick misses from Fisticuffs. Fisticuffs displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hari throws out the jab. Fisticuffs shoots in and drives through. Hari sprawls well. Fisticuffs blocks a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hari misses with a combination
and Fisticuffs counters with a solid body kick. Fisticuffs shoots for a double leg takedown but Hari sprawls well. He's pushed Fisticuffs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hari connects with a looping right hand.
Hari is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Fisticuffs had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Fisticuffs takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fisticuffs throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Hari to counter with a crisp jab. Fisticuffs is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hari sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hari throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fisticuffs on the side of the head. Hari lands a jab. Hari might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Hari throws a right and a left that Fisticuffs avoids nicely. A slow jab from Hari misses its intended target. Hari lands with an uppercut that bounces Fisticuffs off the cage and back into rage. Hari bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fisticuffs's head backwards. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fisticuffs tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Hari to counter with a crisp jab. Fisticuffs with a lazy takedown attempt and Hari counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hari misses with a wild combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hari misses with a straight left. Hari tests Fisticuffs's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fisticuffs lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Fisticuffs tries for a takedown but Hari circles away easily and Hari counters with a series of strikes. Fisticuffs will be more careful next time no doubt. Hari tries to land a front kick but Fisticuffs steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Fisticuffs has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hari misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hari scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Hari throws a right hand that Fisticuffs ducks under and follows up with a left that Fisticuffs also avoids with ease. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hari connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fisticuffs's hands. Fisticuffs shoots and misses enabling Hari to counter with a crisp jab. A jab-cross combination lands for Hari and sends Fisticuffs crashing to the mat! Hari follows him down to the mat - Fisticuffs regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Fisticuffs is rocked! Hari decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Badr Hari dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Hari connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Fisticuffs. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Hari lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Fisticuffs can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Hari and Fisticuffs drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Hari.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomes II looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Gomes II is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Just Ted regains half guard. Just Ted has hold of Gomes II's hands but Gomes II slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Gomes II uses his free foot to push down on Just Ted's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Just Ted. Just Ted bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Gomes II not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gomes II has his foot on Just Ted's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Just Ted works his way back into a safe position though. Just Ted loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Just Ted postures up.
Just Ted has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Just Ted trying to control but Gomes II is working from the bottom. Just Ted throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Just Ted loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Just Ted stopping the sweep attempt from Gomes II. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gomes II can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pattenson tries to keep control of the position but Blanket is staying busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pattenson is trying to stick to Blanket's back but Blanket is turning into Pattenson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Pattenson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Blanket. Blanket lands a couple of elbows. Pattenson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Blanket knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pattenson on the ground. Blanket landing with the ground and pound. Blanket forces his way into half guard. Blanket working Pattenson over with strikes. Blanket not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Blanket thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blanket grinds an elbow into Pattenson's temple. Check out the look on Blanket's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Sparrow throws a right hand that Show ducks under and follows up with a left that Show also avoids with ease. Sparrow looks to land a combination but Show avoids it well. Show uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sparrow. Show staying out of range there. A head kick from Show lands but Sparrow takes it in his stride. A big left from Sparrow misses. Show really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Show throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Sparrow crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Pac throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice uppercut there from Pac. No luck with that takedown attempt from Cavaquinho. Pac stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pac wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joao Cavaquinho. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cavaquinho walks into a jab. Pac is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pac lands a brutal head kick. Cavaquinho looks out on his feet and Pac throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Grossman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Grossman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away. Grossman lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like John Smith has been cut. Smith throws a leg kick but Grossman sees it coming and checks it nicely. Grossman misses with a two punch combination.
Smith takes a body punch but keeps moving. Smith throws a right and a left that Grossman avoids nicely. Grossman moves out of range of the leg kick from Smith. Grossman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it. Grossman jabs at Smith's body. Grossman lands a nice hook to Smith's body. Smith takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smith missing with a left hand there. Grossman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Smith chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Smith checks a low kick from Grossman. Grossman throws a series of punches but Smith avoids them all with ease. Smith takes a shot right to the bread basket. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Grossman scores with a body shot.
