The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baxter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Baxter fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lacson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Lacson shoots in and drives through. Baxter sprawls well.
We've been informed that Baxter has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Lacson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Baxter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lacson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Undercard bout


Khebab Magonurmadov had a terrible time trying to make weight. After initially coming in at 160.7, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Marc Johnson was cancelled.

Narloch uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Narloch feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kyu sprawling to the canvas! Kyu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Narloch finish him?!
Oh Kyu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeez, So Lo Kyu's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Narloch throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kyu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Narloch at a distance.
Kyu seems to have got his legs back now.
Kyu looks to land a combination but Narloch avoids it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kwata moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

As Kwata tries to get set, Chin tries to push him back and clinch up but Kwata manages to avoid the attempt.
Chin misses with the combination.
Kwata tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Kwata shoots for a double leg takedown but Chin sprawls well. He's pushed Kwata's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Zhengqiu Chin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ani Kwata.

Karelin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ojo is just riding it out for now. Karelin eventually gives up the hold.
