The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snake throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Of Spades was covering up waiting for the punch and Snake finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snake postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Snake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Of Spades swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Of Spades not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Of Spades wants to sweep here but Snake controlling him for the moment.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dustice tries to clinch but Gustus moves out of range.
Dustice tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gustus was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Gustus takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Dustice closes the distance but Gustus moves to the side

and Gustus counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Dustice pushes Gustus off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Dustice stalks Gustus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gustus's face. Gustus staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dustice goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gustus throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gustus throws a poor cross that misses
and Dustice counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Willie Dustice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gustus throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dustice tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gustus is in Dustice's guard.
