Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wilson Lu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Raffaele Esposito! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lu looks to land a combination but Esposito avoids it well. Esposito has closed the distance and engaged Lu in a clinch.
Lu taking a breather. Esposito is working for takedown but Lu is calmly controlling the position for now. Lu has Esposito pushed against the cage. Esposito tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lu just stands there and leans against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Esposito tries to circle away but Lu has him pinned against the cage. Lu is struggling to control the position. Esposito fails to pull guard.

Esposito escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lu clinches. Esposito blocks a body shot from Lu. Esposito blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Lu just leaning against Esposito, taking a breather. Lu holding his opponent close, against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Esposito jumps guard but Lu stands there with Esposito around his waist. Esposito gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Esposito pulls guard. Lu sitting in guard here, content to control. Lu's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Esposito trying to keep a closed guard but Lu is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lu stays in close to Esposito's body and controls the position. Lu stopping the sweep attempt from Esposito. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Lu is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Lu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lu controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Esposito not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lu trying to control but Esposito is working from the bottom. Lu prevents Esposito from getting back to his feet. Esposito being controlled here, momentarily. Lu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lu is working hard here to advance position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Lu is trying to trip Esposito. He has hold of a leg but Esposito is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lu persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Esposito doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Lu controlling from the top position. Lu throws a big elbow that misses. Esposito throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Esposito has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lu looking to sit in guard and control but Esposito gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Esposito throws a big right hand that misses. Lu is pulling down on Esposito's head. It's preventing any offense from Esposito, at least for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lu wants to sweep but no luck. Esposito tries to free his leg and advance position but Lu is retaining full guard. Lu is pulling down on Esposito's head to control his posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Esposito throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lu's waist but Lu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Esposito off to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lu is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Esposito wants to control but Lu is having none of it. Esposito is breathing heavily. Esposito is looking to improve his position but Lu isn't that keen on the idea. Lu looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Wilson Lu dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round! Lu throws a lazy right hand but Esposito sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Nice defenses there by Esposito. Esposito fails with a takedown attempt. Esposito closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lu circles away. Esposito looks to land a body kick but Lu moved away. Lu gets in close and instigates a clinch. Lu tries a knee to the head but Esposito blocks it.
Esposito has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lu's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Esposito tries to work over Lu's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Lu for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Esposito tries to pull guard but Lu won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! Wilson Lu showed his dominance in that final round. Well Lu has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Wilson Lu wins by unanimous decision! A relieved looking Wilson Lu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borschtinski closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Abramovich wants a takedown.
Abramovich decides to pull guard. Borschtinski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Abramovich knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Borschtinski on the ground. Borschtinski prevents Abramovich from getting back to his feet. Abramovich is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Borschtinski dives into side control.
Borschtinski is working to tighten his grip on Abramovich's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Abramovich has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Borschtinski is really squeezing tight and eventually Abramovich passes out! Borschtinski breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
