Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlady Borschtinski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wilson Lu! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borschtinski tries to clinch but Lu moves out of range. Lu throws a front kick aimed at Borschtinski's knee but Borschtinski avoids it well. Lu looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Borschtinski! Lu trying to control the position but Borschtinski is working away. Borschtinski is looking to reverse the position. Borschtinski is being controlled here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Lu postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Borschtinski wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Lu tries to get to his feet but Borschtinski is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Lu in his guard. Borschtinski lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Lu has control of Borschtinski's left arm, preventing Borschtinski from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Borschtinski looking to pass the guard. Borschtinski stopping the sweep attempt from Lu. Lu utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lu managing to control the position. Lu can't keep his opponent in guard - Borschtinski advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Lu controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Borschtinski tries to pass to full mount but Lu defends it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Borschtinski looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Borschtinski throwing shots but Lu is blocking nicely. Lu moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Lu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wilson Lu dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Lu shoots for a double leg takedown but Borschtinski sprawls well. He's pushed Lu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Borschtinski wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Borschtinski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lu was well out of range. Poor timing from Borschtinski. Lu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Borschtinski keeps working. Borschtinski wants to improve his position but Lu is controlling well.
Borschtinski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lu is working away from the top position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Borschtinski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lu's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lu's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Borschtinski not allowing Lu to control his hands.

Borschtinski somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Borschtinski tries to keep control of the position but Lu is staying busy. Lu turns into Borschtinski and is now in his guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Borschtinski sprawls well. Borschtinski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lu gets slowly back to his feet. Borschtinski tries to counter by clinching up but Lu breaks away and moves out of range. Lu is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lu throws a body punch but Borschtinski moves out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Lu. Borschtinski does a little dance to reset his feet. Borschtinski fails with the takedown. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Vlady Borschtinski will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! The fighters circling - Lu throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Lu misses with a leg kick and Borschtinski counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lu won't be happy with that. Lu manages to work his way to half guard, despite Borschtinski's best efforts. Borschtinski is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lu sees it coming and defends easily. Lu is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Borschtinski sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lu defending well though. Lu is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Borschtinski's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Lu avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Borschtinski. Lu tries to roll over but Borschtinski keeps him under control. Borschtinski wants to pass the guard but Lu is defending well. Borschtinski throwing shots but Lu is blocking nicely.

Borschtinski is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lu wants to counter the offense by Borschtinski and move into the clinch position. Lu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Borschtinski but Borschtinski pushes him off and we're back to square one. Borschtinski seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Borschtinski misses with a hook. Lu misses the shot to the body. Lu misses with a low kick.
