With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dokk Strassi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paul Welch! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Welch's jab looks to have found its range, popping Strassi under the eye. Strassi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Strassi checks a leg kick. Strassi looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Welch's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Welch's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Strassi throws a predictable looking body shot
and Welch counters by clinching up. Strassi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Welch gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Strassi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Strassi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Welch avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Welch lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Strassi backwards. Strassi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Welch to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dokk Strassi. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strassi wants to break the clinch but can't.
Welch scores with a nice hook to the head. Welch lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Strassi throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. A short right from Welch. Strassi putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Welch in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Welch lands a left hand.
Welch lands a nice uppercut. Welch lands a right hand. Welch lands a left hand that snaps the head of Strassi backwards. Welch lands with a short shot to the head. Welch makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Strassi is rocked! Strassi's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Strassi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Welch lands a big right hand that sends Strassi crashing to the mat! Welch stays standing though and waves Strassi back to his feet! Oh Strassi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Welch throws a chopping leg kick but Strassi manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Welch fakes the body blow, causing Strassi to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Strassi goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nainggolan fails with a takedown attempt. Nainggolan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Vincentes is trying to get back to half guard. Nainggolan takes a little break here. Vincentes wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Vincentes is trying to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vincentes is trying to escape the position but Nainggolan is controlling the position. Vincentes definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Nainggolan sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Vincentes is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Possibly, maybe, no Nainggolan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Nainggolan is working to tighten his grip on Vincentes's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Vincentes has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nainggolan is really squeezing tight and eventually Vincentes passes out! Nainggolan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suder tries to score a power double leg takedown but Narloch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Suder somewhat. Suder gets the takedown into side control. Narloch throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Suder doesn't succeed with the takedown and Narloch cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. The fighters circling - Narloch throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Narloch thows a left - swing and a miss! Kyree Suder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Suder with a poor takedown and Narloch counters with a nice right hand that sends Suder toppling to the canvas! Suder scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Narloch finish him?! Leandro Narloch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyree Suder. Suder with a poor takedown and Narloch counters with a huge left! Suder is in big trouble! He's backing up but Narloch isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Suder from any more damage. A dominating finish by Narloch!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masters lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Good standup being displayed there by Masters as he connects with a hook. Nice cross by Masters. Jab, jab by Masters - just one landing. No luck for Murillo with that takedown attempt. It looked like Masters was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Murillo takes one on the button. Masters slaps away a takedown attempt from Murillo, before circling back to the center of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Masters lunges at Murillo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Murillo's hand. Murillo fails to land the takedown. Morton Masters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keiron Murillo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murillo shoots for a double leg takedown but Masters sprawls well. He's pushed Murillo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Murillo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Masters counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Keiron Murillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheers as Masters lands an impressive looking overhand right. Murillo doesn't seem phased though. Murillo misses with a takedown attempt - Masters sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Murillo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Masters sprawls well. Masters wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Murillo gets slowly back to his feet. A little feinted left hand from Masters on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Murillo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Murillo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Masters rushes Murillo with punches - Murillo moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Murillo goes down! Masters follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Melamed swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Kuragi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Melamed looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Melamed looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kuragi has picked Melamed up and slammed him! Melamed can't keep hold of the triangle and Kuragi manages to pass to side control! Kuragi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Melamed, who protects the arm well. Kuragi is looking to take a break and control but Melamed is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Melamed trying to remain calm as Kuragi controls from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Melamed is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kuragi off and has taken his back! Kuragi needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation. Melamed is hanging on to Kuragi's back as he tries to escape.

That was a close round but I would say that Sensai Kuragi will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Melamed tries to bum rush Kuragi with a series of wild strikes but Kuragi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kuragi feinted with a counter takedown. Melamed fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kuragi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Kuragi takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Melamed tries to close the distance and clinch but Kuragi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kuragi tries to counter with a takedown but Melamed is quick to defend against it. Melamed looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Sensai Kuragi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kuragi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kuragi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kuragi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Melamed fails with a takedown attempt. Kuragi tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Melamed manages to circle out of the way. Kuragi steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Melamed. That one must have hurt.

Kuragi tries to counter by clinching up but Melamed breaks away and moves out of range. Sensai Kuragi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Melamed. Melamed throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Melamed stuffs the takedown. A nice leg kick from Melamed, right into the meat of the thigh.
Melamed throws a lazy body kick and Kuragi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kuragi. Kuragi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. This is a sustained period of stalling by Kuragi.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Cole (ranked 1900 p4p, 2184 weight class) and Bobby Fish (ranked 59 p4p, 68 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adam Cole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bobby Fish! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fish feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fish working some strikes from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fish with a nice head shot there. Cole is wriggling around but Fish manages to pass to half guard.
Fish drops an elbow to the side of Cole's head. Cole knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fish on the ground. Fish throwing shots but Cole is blocking nicely. Cole tries to get to full guard but Fish has control of the leg. Fish working over Cole with some ground and pound. Cole looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ground and pound from Fish. It looks like Adam Cole has been cut. Fish thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cole's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fish lands a nice short elbow. Cole has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fish is working away from the top position though. Fish stalling.
