With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Herrera!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daxton bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Herrera's head.

Herrera drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Herrera working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Daxton has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Daxton tries to buck Herrera off but Herrera is having none of it.

Daxton has his foot on Herrera's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Herrera works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Daxton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Daxton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Daxton has his feet on Herrera's thighs here. He's pushed Herrera off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Herrera screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Niaz seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Niaz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Simbolon throws an overhand right that lands on Niaz 's shoulder, as Niaz tries to avoid the shot.
Niaz appears to be looking for a big counter.

Simbolon is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Niaz flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Niaz is out cold! Simbolon holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Tully moves into the clinch.
Tully content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Khan misses with a punch on the inside.
Nice elbow from Tully.
It looks like Bora Khan has been cut.
Tully misses with an elbow over the top.
Khan working hard to break the clinch.

Tully breaks from the clinch.
Tully moves away from the strike by Khan.

Tully takes the fight into the clinch.
Khan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Tully backwards.
Tully looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Tully has clasped his hands together around Khan's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tully takes a little break here. Khan wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
My spies in Pound Town Athletics inform me that Tully has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Tully wants to lay and pray for a moment but Khan keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Khan is trying to improve his position.
Tully is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Khan's shoulder. That is not cool.
Tully throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Khan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tully wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Khan is not content to let Tully control the position.
Tully is putting a hurting on Khan here, landing some big shots from side control.

Khan tries to improve position but can't.
Tully working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khan is letting Tully control him for a moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Khan tries to bench press Tully off him but Tully keeps the position.
Tully trying to control the position but Khan is working away.
Khan holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Khan circles away from the clinch attempt
and Khan counters with a right hand to the body.
Bora Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tully tries to clinch up but Khan circles away and keeps his distance.
Khan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Khan keeps the fight on the outside.
Khan appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Tully looks to clinch
and Khan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Khan's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tully under the eye.
Khan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tully on the side of the head.
Tully tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Khan was well out of range. Poor timing from Tully.
Khan dips to his left and cracks Tully with an uppercut!
Tully wants to clinch up but Khan keeps it at a distance.
Khan half committed to a counter leg kick.
Tully goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tully is looking to clinch but Khan is avoiding it.
Tully fails with the takedown
and Khan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A left lands for Khan.
Tully tries to clinch
and Khan counters with a huge left! Tully is in big trouble! He's backing up but Khan isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Tully from any more damage. A dominating finish by Khan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bora Khan!
An out of breath Bora Khan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Adlehyde (ranked 371 p4p, 1501 weight class) and Darius Frank (ranked 62 p4p, 206 weight class). Frank has chosen Trapper x Foogiano as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Frank keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Adlehyde.
Frank doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Adlehyde misses with a hook. Frank ducked under it nicely.
Adlehyde throws a big shot that misses.
Frank has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Adlehyde moves into the clinch successfully.
Frank swings wildly with an uppercut but Adlehyde uses good head movement to avoid it.
Adlehyde has a couple of punches blocked by Frank.
Adlehyde presses Frank against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Adlehyde pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frank ducks right into an uppercut from Adlehyde.
Adlehyde looks to land a combination but Frank avoids it well.
Adlehyde wants to clinch up but Frank keeps it at a distance.

Frank swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Adlehyde connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Adlehyde tries to land a leg kick but Frank saw it coming and moves away.
Adlehyde throws a lazy uppercut
and Adlehyde takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Adlehyde has closed the distance and engaged Frank in a clinch.
A shot in the inside from Frank.
Adlehyde lands with a right to the head.

Adlehyde escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Frank has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Adlehyde finds it's way round the side to connect with Frank's head.
Frank misses with a hook. Adlehyde ducked under it nicely.

Frank connects with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Adlehyde dips to his left and cracks Frank with an uppercut!
Frank takes a swing at Adlehyde's ribcage but misses.
A jab from Adlehyde finds it's way through Frank's defenses.
Frank avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
and Adlehyde counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Frank! He's just covering up as Adlehyde starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Adlehyde!
After the fight, Jack Adlehyde was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Darius Frank stepped up to the mic, saying 'A loss just means it’s a lesson and on my next time out, I’ll show you what I’ve learned.'.
