Mifune kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Seven Samurai. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Takashi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shoenfeld at a distance.

Takashi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shoenfeld, pushing him back against the cage.
Shoenfeld is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Takashi to keep the fight standing.

Shoenfeld wants the takedown. Takashi is fighting it off but Shoenfeld persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Takashi's guard against the cage.
Shoenfeld stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takashi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shoenfeld wants to control from the top but Takashi keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shoenfeld pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Takashi is keeping the position for now.
Takashi wants to sweep here but Shoenfeld controlling him for the moment.

Shoenfeld tries to improve his position but Takashi has taken his back! Takashi has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Shoenfeld tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Takashi pushes Shoenfeld away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
