And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommy McCork!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Lancaster shoots and misses
and Lancaster takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like James Lancaster has been cut.
Lancaster fails with the takedown
and McCork counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lancaster doesn't succeed with the takedown

and McCork counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Lancaster wants to get back to his feet but McCork is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lancaster seems to have got his legs back now.
McCork throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
McCork is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
McCork arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Lancaster's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wasli fails to land the takedown.
Sebastian tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Wasli drives through and clinches with Sebastian against the cage.

Wasli is trying to trip Sebastian. He has hold of a leg but Sebastian is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Wasli persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Wasli drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sebastian looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sebastian looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sebastian!

Sebastian is staying tight to Wasli's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Sebastian tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Wasli is looking for a sweep.

Sebastian controlling from side mount.
Wasli tries to bench press Sebastian off him but Sebastian keeps the position.
Sebastian passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Wasli!
Sebastian wants to get back to his feet but Wasli is holding on tight.
Wasli keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sebastian looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Sebastian tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Sebastian sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Sebastian can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wasli is looking to escape.
Wasli wants to control but Sebastian is having none of it.

Wasli is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sebastian cracks Wasli with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Wasli tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Wasli avoids a series of strikes thrown by Sebastian.
Sebastian connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Sebastian throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Sebastian takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Wasli is trying desperately to improve position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wasli can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wasli tries to hold on but Sebastian pushes him away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sebastian shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sebastian was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wasli bucks up and tries to throw Sebastian off but instead Sebastian has got his back!
Wasli looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Jakub Sebastian overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sebastian is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Wasli defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Wasli really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sebastian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tomtom is defended easily by Orwell.

Orwell pushes off an throws an elbow but Tomtom leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Tomtom's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tomtom shoots for a double leg takedown but Orwell sprawls well. He's pushed Tomtom's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Tomtom thinks about countering with a body kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Orwell misses the target.
Tomtom has a takedown stuffed.
Tomtom throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Orwell's waist but Orwell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tomtom off to one side.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tomtom tries to land a front kick but Orwell steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Orwell misses with a series of wild punches.
Orwell is looking to chop away at Tomtom's legs.
Tomtom is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Orwell.
Orwell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tomtom.
Orwell feints a counter leg kick.
Tomtom throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Orwell is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Orwell misses with a double jab.
Tomtom is looking for a counter combo.
Orwell throws a hook to the side of Tomtom's head but Tomtom sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tomtom attempts a counter takedown but Orwell avoids it well and moves away.
Nice takedown defense from Orwell. No joy for Tomtom on that attempt.
Tomtom dodges the punch combination from Orwell.
A combination from Orwell does no damage.
Orwell throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Tomtom's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Orwell dives in looking to finish as Tomtom flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Orwell's strikes! Orwell is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Tomtom's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Tomtom was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Denghui bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Denghui in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Uesugi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Denghui on the ground.

Denghui wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Uesugi, who protects the arm well.
Denghui landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Denghui works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Denghui in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Uesugi is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
