He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Kwata gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kwata apologises and we restart here on the feet.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Ross in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Kwata lands a huge takedown. Ross is out but the ref is slow to react and Kwata lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Ross lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between San Yan Chong (ranked 1590 p4p, 2334 weight class) and Robert Rhodes (ranked 54 p4p, 84 weight class). Chong kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Believer. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

A combination from Rhodes does no damage.
Chong moves out of range of the strikes.
Chong throws out a powerful jab.
It looks like Robert Rhodes has been cut.
Chong throws a looping overhand right but Rhodes ducks down to avoid it.
Robert Rhodes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rhodes with a hook.
Rhodes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rhodes tries a head kick but it misses.
Chong is looking to clinch but Rhodes is avoiding it.
Chong moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rhodes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rhodes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rhodes throws a big shot that misses.
Chong drops Rhodes with a straight right hand, right on the button! Chong follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
