Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Guy Bernier (ranked 2119 p4p, 23741 weight class) and Kane Yamamoto (ranked 115 p4p, 259 weight class). Bernier's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Stranglehold/ Ted Nugent. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kane Yamamoto was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Guy Bernier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kane Yamamoto! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bernier digs a good body shot into Yamamoto's ribs. Yamamoto takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Bernier looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Yamamoto looks winded! Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bernier sprawls well. Bernier wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Yamamoto gets slowly back to his feet. Bernier cracks Yamamoto with a good jab. Nice jab there from Bernier. Bernier takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Bernier connects with a solid leg kick. Bernier dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Yamamoto. That did some damage! Yamamoto takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bernier circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Yamamoto drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Bernier follows Yamamoto to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guy Bernier! Guy Bernier really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Brooklyn Apothecary logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaeger tries a head kick but it misses.

Vieira doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jaeger counters with a slapping leg kick. A head kick by Jaeger misses and Vieira counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jaeger pushes Vieira off and gets back to his feet. Vieira shoots in looking for a takedown but Jaeger manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vieira's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jaeger throws a counter high kick but Vieira was just alert enough to avoid it. Jaeger throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Eli Vieira has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vieira shoots in for a takedown but Jaeger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jaeger looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Vieira has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Frank Jaeger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eli Vieira. Jaeger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vieira fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jaeger avoids it really well and circles away. Frank Jaeger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jaeger lands a big head kick that sends Vieira tumbling to the mat! Jaeger takes a step backwards and waves Vieira back to his feet - he wants the finish! Frank Jaeger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jaeger tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Vieira gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Crawley buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mith pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Crawley ducks under a wild hook from Mith. Crawley looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Mith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Crawley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mith pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crawley misses with a hook
and Mith counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Crawley thinking. Crawley throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crawley loads up on a big right hand but Mith slips the punch. Mith throwing a counter right hand but Crawley manages to avoid it. Crawley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Crawley turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Bob Crawley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crawley knocks Mith to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!? It looks like Andre Mith has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Crawley controlling the position from side mount. Mith controls the position for a moment. That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mith wants to control but Crawley is keeping busy.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Crawley throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Mith stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Crawley follows into mount! Crawley sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Crawley with a couple of short strikes. Mith is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mith wants to hold on but Crawley pushes him away. Crawley looking to control and managing it successfully. Mith is trying to escape the mount.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mith connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Mith looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Crawley throws a jab but it's blocked by Mith. Crawley throws a hook but Mith blocks it. Mith swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Crawley takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Crawley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mith to score an easy takedown into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crawley is on top in guard.
Mith is looking for a triangle but Crawley pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mith being controlled here, momentarily. Crawley throws a big right hand that misses. Mith keeping full guard, as Crawley tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crawley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mith isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Crawley stacks Mith on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Crawley! Crawley working away. Crawley controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mith is trying to improve his position. Crawley takes a little break here. Mith wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Crawley trying to control the position but Mith is working away. Mith trying to remain calm as Crawley controls from the top position. Mith tries to get back to half guard but can't. Crawley has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Crawley slows the pace down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mith is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Crawley is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Crawley controlling the pace for now. Mith working to try and regain half guard.
Bob Crawley has got the better of the ground game so far. Crawley looking to ground and pound but Mith is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crawley controlling his opponent. Mith is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Mith is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crawley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Crawley trying to control but Mith is having none of it. Mith on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mith tries to get out of the position. Mith sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Crawley throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mith works his way to full guard. Good work. Mith is trying to control the position but Crawley postures up. Crawley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Bob Crawley will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Andre Mith's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round! Crawley throws a head kick that Mith semi-blocks.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mith throws out a loose jab but Crawley uses good head movement to avoid it. Crawley connects with a solid leg kick. Mith takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A big left from Crawley misses. Crawley connects with an inside leg kick. Bob Crawley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Crawley turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Mith throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Crawley takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mith misses with a right hand and Crawley counters with a lovely straight right hand! Crawley defending well as Mith loads up on a big left hand. Crawley knocks Mith to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!? Mith is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mith struggling a bit here. Oh Mith is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Crawley advances to mount. Crawley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mith blocking the ground and pound. Crawley thowing shots but they're missing. Mith seems to have got his legs back now. Mith blocking the ground and pound. Crawley sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mith wants to hold on but Crawley pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crawley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mith is looking to escape. Crawley looking to control and managing it successfully. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mith tries to get to full guard but Crawley has control of the leg. Crawley keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Mith won't allow Crawley to pass to mount. Mith looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Mith is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Crawley pulls his head out easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Bob Crawley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Crawley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Hondeveld looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hondeveld lands a lovely overhand right. Hondeveld avoids the body shot from Fier.

and Hondeveld counters with a nice uppercut. Fier seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Hondeveld shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Fier is backing up but Hondeveld catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Fier covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Hondeveld Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Machiel Hondeveld! Magni Fier was interviewed post fight and said 'That's the last time i'll be drink bleach...'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Honkanen misses with a takedown attempt and Blank counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Blank rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Honkanen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Honkanen half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Honkanen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. It looks like Jani Honkanen has been cut. Honkanen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Blank sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Honkanen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Blank throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Honkanen's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Blank dives in looking to finish as Honkanen flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Blank's strikes! Blank is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Honkanen's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Honkanen was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Turn moves in looking to clinch but Diesel pushes him off. Turn slips a jab from Diesel. Diesel cracks Turn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Diesel swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Turn . Turn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Diesel. Turn fails with an attempt to clinch.

Turn blocks a body shot from Diesel. Diesel lands a hook to the side of the head. Diesel lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Turn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Diesel avoids it. Diesel lands with a short shot to the head. A short right hand to the side of the head by Diesel. This has been an exciting period of action! With the fighters clinched against the cage, Diesel creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Turn blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Diesel scores with a nice hook to the head. Diesel lands a body punch. Turn looks winded! Diesel scores with an uppercut up the middle. Diesel creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Turn with a big uppercut! Turn tries to clinch up but Diesel pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Turn to the mat! Turn covers up and Diesel unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leonov scoring well with a low kick there.
Sakuraba with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Leonov to score with a decent uppercut. Leonov misses with a jab, cross combination.
