The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Mason has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Knox throws a right and a left that Mason avoids nicely.
Mason works the jab nicely.
Mason slips under a jab.

Mason feints a jab promting Knox to slip. Mason then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Knox slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Brubeck Knox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Knox takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Knox has been working on his balance at Canadian Combat Academy, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Mason.
