Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabiano Martinez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tugsbayar Enkhtulga! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez fails with a takedown attempt. Enkhtulga is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Martinez tries for a takedown but Enkhtulga circles away easily and Enkhtulga counters with a straight right hand. Martinez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Enkhtulga counters with a nice body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabiano Martinez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Martinez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Enkhtulga pinned against the cage. Enkhtulga gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Martinez is breathing heavily. Enkhtulga cracks Martinez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Enkhtulga lands a big head kick that sends Martinez tumbling to the mat! Enkhtulga takes a step backwards and waves Martinez back to his feet - he wants the finish! Martinez is rocked! It looks like Fabiano Martinez has been cut. Enkhtulga looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. This has been an exciting period of action! Enkhtulga connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Martinez covering up! Enkhtulga comes in with a big uppercut and Martinez goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tugsbayar Enkhtulga! Tugsbayar Enkhtulga seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.

With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Jani Honkanen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Schlunckr Diesel! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Honkanen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diesel circles away. A jab from Diesel misses. Honkanen changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Honkanen shoots in and bounces Diesel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Diesel can do anything to dispel that myth. Honkanen looking to pass the guard. Honkanen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Diesel looking for a sweep. Not yet Diesel, not yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Honkanen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Honkanen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Honkanen is pushing down on Diesel's leg trying to pass to half guard. Diesel is fighting to maintain full guard but Honkanen has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Honkanen trying to control the action but Diesel is working from the bottom. Diesel wants to improve his position but Honkanen is controlling well.
Diesel felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Honkanen is pressing down on Diesel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Diesel is holding on for now. Honkanen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Diesel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Diesel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Honkanen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Honkanen in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Diesel tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Honkanen!

Green has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Diesel doesn't defend quickly enough and Green has managed to lock this one up! Can Diesel escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Green on a fantastic submission victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Houle. Beast does a little dance to reset his feet. Beast tries to close the distance and clinch but Houle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Houle was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Don Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Houle misses with a body shot.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie shoots in but Tillet avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tillet shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tillet showed some decent athleticism there. Tillet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. Tillet misses with a head shot. Gracie uses the momentum to regain guard. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Tillet from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tillet defends it easily. Tillet postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mifune moves into the clinch. Leonov working hard to break the clinch. Mifune lands an uppercut. Mifune lands with a left to the head. Leonov working hard to break the clinch. Leonov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mifune walks into a left hand. Leonov misses with a double jab.
Jab from Leonov. Donk. Leonov catches Mifune right on the button with a cross. Leonov throws a jab when Mifune was well out of range. Mifune takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Leonov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mifune rushes Leonov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leonov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Mifune looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Leonov was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Leonov misses with a hook. Mifune blocks a jab.

A nice side step and Leonov releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Leonov throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A shot to the liver by Leonov. Beautiful body shot. Leonov scores with a head kick.

Mifune slips a straight right by Leonov. Mifune throws out a powerful jab. Nice uppercut lands for Leonov. That snapped Mifune's head back.

Mifune misses with a right hand and Leonov counters with a straight right hand. Mifune takes a body punch but keeps moving. Leonov throws out a loose jab but Mifune uses good head movement to avoid it. Mifune scores with a shot to the body.

and Leonov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mifune tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Leonov circles away from the clinch attempt and Leonov counters with a stiff right hand. A big right from Mifune misses. Leonov throws a nice looking combination but Mifune bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Leonov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mifunes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Mifune wants to clinch. Nice uppercut lands for Mifune. That snapped Leonov's head back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leonov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mifune is looking to counter the offense by Leonov and move into the clinch. A big right from Leonov misses. Mifune tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Leonov manages to circle out of the way. Leonov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Leonov clobbers Mifune with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Oh Mifune is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Leonov misses the jab. Mifune seems to have got his legs back now. Leonov misses with a hook. Mifune tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Leonov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mifune is looking to clinch but Leonov is avoiding it.

Leonov is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mifune had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Mifune throws the left hand but Leonov avoids the punch easily. Leonov slips under a jab from Mifune. Mifune gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Mifune displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Leonov throws out the jab. Leonov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Leonov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mifune circles away quickly and effectively. Mifune walks into a jab. Mifune with a nice calf kick. Mifune connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Nikolay Leonov seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mifune tries to close the distance and clinch but Leonov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mifune darts in trying to clinch and Mifune takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A jab from Leonov does it's job there. Mifune walks into a jab. A shot to the liver by Leonov. Beautiful body shot. Mifune takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mifune misses with an uppercut. Leonov swats away the attempt to clinch by Mifune. Leonov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mifune.

and Leonov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Mifune tries to close the distance and clinch up but Leonov swats him away and circles back towards the center. Leonov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Leonov swats away the attempt to clinch by Mifune. Mifune closes the distance and clinches. Mifune misses with a hook from the clinch. Mifune looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Leonov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mifune has him pressed against the cage. Leonov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mifune scores with a sloppy right hand. Leonov should have avoided that one. Mifune doesn't manage to clinch there - Leonov circles away.

Mifune is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Good standup being displayed there by Leonov as he connects with a hook. Leonov throws a push kick but Mifune slaps the foot to one side.

Mifune tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leonov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mifune tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leonov was well out of range. Poor timing from Mifune. The fight moves into the clinch position. Mifune stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Leonov is trying to break free.

Mifune seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Leonov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mifune stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Leonov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mifune creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Mifune misses with a hook from the clinch. Mifune scores with a nice hook to the head. Mifune misses with a body punch.
