With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hayden Allen! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allen with a lazy takedown attempt and Vera makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Vera scores with a decent looking hook. Allen throws a right hand that misses
and Vera counters with a stiff right hand. Vera comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Allen fails with the takedown and Vera counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Allen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Allen tries for a takedown but Vera circles away easily and Vera counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Dominguez Vera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hayden Allen. Vera lands a right hook to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vera ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Dominguez Vera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vera jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Vera scores with a punch to the head. Vera lands with an uppercut that bounces Allen off the cage and back into range. Vera thuds his right hand into Allen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Vera lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Allen at a distance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Allen stands up from Vera's guard - Allen perhaps looking for a knockout. A punch combination from Allen misses. Vera throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. The fighters circle momentarily. Vera darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Allen walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Vera moves into range and connects with a jab. Vera thuds a left hand into Allen's body. Vera stuns Allen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Allen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Beautiful body shot. Vera digs a good hook to Allen's body.
Vera cracks a nice hook into Allen's ribs. Vera works Allen's body with a nice hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Allen shoots in looking for a takedown. Vera tries to sprawl out of it but Allen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vera manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A quick step to the side and Vera tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Allen tries for a takedown but Vera circles away easily and Vera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Allen wants to clinch up but Vera keeps it at a distance. Vera scores with a jab to the body. Dominguez Vera is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Allen missing with a left hand there. Vera was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Vera lands with a nice body punch. Vera lands with a shot to the body. Vera connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Vera lands a jab to the head.

Some bone on bone action there as Vera checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vera, as that shot connected.
Vera moves into range and connects with a jab. No luck with that takedown attempt from Allen. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vera bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Hayden Allen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Allen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Vera lands a jab. Allen ducks right into an uppercut from Vera. Vera connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Allen momentarily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vera lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Allen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

A cross from Vera lands. Vera connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Allen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Vera counters with a lovely shot to the body. Dominguez Vera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hayden Allen. Allen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A shot to the liver by Vera. Beautiful body shot. Vera stalks Allen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Allen's face. Allen staggers backwards, shaken. Vera scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Allen shoots for a double leg takedown but Vera sprawls well. He's pushed Allen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Vera changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Zhang jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Zhang defending well as Parker loads up on a big left hand. Zhang swings for the body but Parker moves out of range.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lardy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sloppy strikes from Hawk. Those never looked like landing. Hawk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lardy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hawk somewhat. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A punch combination from Lardy misses. Hawk goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lardy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Avangyan shoots for a takedown but Bentley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bentley misses with a wild combination.
Bentley lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Avangyan throws a body shot but no joy. Bentley darts in and clinches Avangyan up against the cage. Bentley lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Avangyan or not. Avangyan drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Avangyan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Bentley prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ray Bentley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arman Avangyan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bentley is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Avangyan is keeping busy. Avangyan keeps control of Bentley as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bentley has his foot on Avangyan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Avangyan works his way back into a safe position though. Avangyan tries to free his leg and advance position but Bentley is retaining full guard. Avangyan controlling from the top position. Avangyan is in close to Bentley's body, working some short punches and elbows. Avangyan stands up over Bentley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Avangyan passes into half guard. Avangyan trying to mount his opponent but Bentley defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Avangyan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Avangyan working over Bentley with some ground and pound. Bentley looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Avangyan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bentley doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Avangyan. Avangyan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bentley with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Avangyan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bentley has left one of his arms exposed and Avangyan doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Bentley screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Baltaretu! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baltaretu shoots in for a takedown but Brenda shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. As Baltaretu looks to move away, Brenda throws a big counter combo but Baltaretu just gets out of the way. Baltaretu closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Baltaretu lands in his opponent's guard. Baltaretu landing with the ground and pound. Baltaretu chips away with some ground and pound. Baltaretu throwing strikes but missing. Baltaretu looking to sit in guard and control but Brenda gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baltaretu wants to stand and escape but Brenda is having none of it. Baltaretu managing to control the position.

Baltaretu in side control lands a decent elbow. Brenda is working to avoid the ground and pound but Baltaretu connects with a decent elbow. Brenda is rocked! Baltaretu lands a strong strike to the head of Brenda. That's dazed him! Baltaretu looking to finish here. Brenda is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Baltaretu lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

We've been told by Valle's head coaches at The Gulag Public Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A punch combination from Slaveriso misses. Valle throws a right and a left that both miss. Valle looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Slaveriso misses with a few strikes there.
Valle needs to keep his hands up - Slaveriso had a free shot at his head there. Slaveriso moves out of range of the body kick. A head kick misses from Valle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Slaveriso throws a right hand that Valle ducks under and follows up with a left that Valle also avoids with ease. Slaveriso throws a series of punches but Valle moves out of range. Valle lands with a thumping leg kick.

Slaveriso fails to land with a series of punches.

Valle pushes Slaveriso away with a front kick. Valle lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

A head kick misses from Valle. Valle throws a push kick but Slaveriso slaps the foot to one side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slaveriso tries to bum rush Valle with a series of wild strikes but Valle uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Valle fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Slaveriso on the side of the head. Slaveriso takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Valle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Slaveriso was well out of range. Poor timing from Valle. Valle lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Valle tries to land a front kick but Slaveriso steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Valle lets loose with a powerful body kick. Slaveriso will feel that in the morning. Slaveriso lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Valle circles away quickly and effectively. Slaveriso misses with an uppercut
and Valle counters with a one-two to the body. Slaveriso is rocked! Valle throws a powerful right kick. Slaveriso tried to block low but the kick was high! Slaveriso was taken right off of his feet! Valle jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
