and Perez counters with a head kick that drops James to the mat! James scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

A frustrated look appears on Perez's face as he tries to break the clinch.
James is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Perez pulls him back up using the underhooks.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scorfna shoots in for a double leg but Scott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Scott scores with a nice right hand.

Scott takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Scott fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Scorfna, pushing him back against the cage.
Scorfna tries for a takedown but Scott manages to get underhooks.
Scorfna is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Scott pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ewgenju Scorfna. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Scorfna is trying to drag Scott to the mat but Scott just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Scott looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Leung shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jardim manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Leung lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leung is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jardim keeping moving, preventing Leung from controlling successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jardim is on top in guard.


Jardim throws a sloppy strike and Leung has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Jardim is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Leung!

Riak loads up on a big right hand but Qarase slips the punch.

Riak is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Qarase's half guard.
Qarase is looking to get back to is feet but Riak passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Riak tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Riak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Riak is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Qarase has escaped the position, nice work there.
Qarase can't do much from the bottom here.

Riak is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Qarase is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Riak is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Qarase knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Qarase really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Riak tries for a kimura but Qarase is defending well.
Qarase is looking to reverse the position.

Riak has an Americana. Qarase didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Riak is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Riak hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
