This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 3 losses; Brian Baker! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 1 losses; Tyron Scott! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Baker wants to clinch up but Scott keeps it at a distance. Baker has his takedown stuffed#TD2# and Scott counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Baker (0) vs (2) Scott Scott wants to pass the guard but Baker is defending well. Scott seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Baker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Scott wants to pass to mount but Baker is defending the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that's the end of the fight! As we have tied on points, we go to a tie breaker and Pratoomwong gets a bonus point for attempting more subs. Pratoomwong takes the fight on points by 8 to 7. Chakrit Pratoomwong very nearly forgot to thank Conquer amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you. |
