HAWK misses with a hook. Baeyens ducked under it nicely.
HAWK swings for the body but Baeyens moves out of range.
HAWK throws a series of punches but Baeyens moves out of range.

MIKE HAWK seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baeyens has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Baeyens there as he acknowledges the shot.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
HAWK lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Baeyens changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. HAWK tries to avoid it but Baeyens manages to keep hold of a leg and drag HAWK to the ground. HAWK escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

MIKE HAWK has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Didier Baeyens.
A lazy left from HAWK finds it's target.
HAWK ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
HAWK connects with a jab.
HAWK throws out a loose jab but Baeyens uses good head movement to avoid it.
HAWK swings for the body but Baeyens moves out of range.
HAWK's corner calls for a 1-2. HAWK obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Baeyens will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

HAWK lands a left and a right that send Baeyens crashing to the mat, dazed. HAWK thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

HAWK cracks Baeyens with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Baeyens looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can HAWK finish him?
HAWK looks to land a combination but Baeyens avoids it well.

HAWK thuds his right hand into Baeyens's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Baeyens shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Baeyens showed some decent athleticism there.

HAWK is looking to regain half guard here but Baeyens keeps moving and retains side control.

Baeyens is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but HAWK is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Baeyens wants to lay and pray for a moment but HAWK keeps working.
Baeyens sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but HAWK is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Baeyens uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from HAWK.
HAWK throws a nice looking combination but Baeyens bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
HAWK is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Baeyens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? HAWK is fending him off so far but Baeyens persists. Nope, HAWK circles away and we're back to standing.
HAWK looks to land a left hand but Baeyens moved out of range nicely.

HAWK can't keep his opponent in guard - Baeyens advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Baeyens is trying to work for a kimura but HAWK is defending well.
Baeyens is looking to advance position but HAWK won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Baeyens thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed HAWK's head.

Baeyens is working for a submission of some sort.
HAWK might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
HAWK makes his way to full guard. A much better position for HAWK.
Baeyens trying to control but HAWK is working from the bottom.
Baeyens is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Baeyens drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and HAWK dives on top into guard.
