We've been told by Nyla's head coaches at Crapollas Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Rivers pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nyla back to the cage. Rivers follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Rivers takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nyla throws a hook to the side of Rivers's head but Rivers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Rivers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
