Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sebastian Burger!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Burger looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lang gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Burger counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lang changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burger tries to avoid it but Lang manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burger to the ground. Burger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lang bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Burger tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Burger looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Burger is trying to reverse the position but instead Lang has taken his back - oops!

Lang has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lang is riding his opponent, not letting Burger buck him off.
Lang throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lang misses with an elbow to the head.

Lang tightening his grip on Burger, looking for the choke.

Lang is looking for the choke from the back position but Burger is controlling his hands well.

Lang has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Burger has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Lang is cranking Burger's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Burger! He's tightened the choke and Burger is tapping out!

Tate Iii takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tate Iii throws a right hand that Gunn ducks under and follows up with a left that Gunn also avoids with ease.
Gunn is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Gunn tries to score with a low kick but Tate Iii moves his leg out of the way.
Tate Iii throws a series of strikes that have Gunn backpedaling.
It looks like Tommy Gunn has been cut.

Gunn pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tate Iii back to the cage. Gunn follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Shewmaker scores with a shot to the side of Sankari's head.
Shewmaker scores a nice knee to the body.
Shewmaker working some nice short punches in the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Shewmaker.
Shewmaker lands a shoulder strike.
Shewmaker lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sankari backwards.
Shewmaker digs a right hand underneath Sankari's ribcage. Sankari let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Shewmaker drops Sankari with a big knee straight up the middle! Sankari is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Sankari is rocked!
It looks like Sota Sankari has been cut.
Shewmaker feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Sankari collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
