Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Archibald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendoza comes into the arena with "I Ain't Goin' Out Like That" by Cypress Hill blaring out of the sound system. Adam Archibald will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Archibald tries to clinch up but Mendoza circles away and keeps his distance. Archibald takes a body punch but keeps moving. Miguel Mendoza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mendoza goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Adam Archibald has been cut. Archibald closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Mendoza is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Archibald. Mendoza fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Archibald looks gassed! Mendoza scores with a hook to the body. Archibald takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Mendoza moves into range and connects with a jab. Donk. Mendoza catches Archibald right on the button with a cross. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mendoza misses with a straight left. Mendoza lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Archibald is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Mendoza scores with a shot to the body.
Mendoza bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Archibald's head. A jab lands there for Mendoza. Mendoza lands a lovely overhand right. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mendoza!
Mendoza lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mendoza. Mendoza tests Archibald's chin there with a solid looking shot. Mendoza scores with a jab. Archibald acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Archibald takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Mendoza throws a right and a left that both miss. Archibald takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Archibald on the wrong end of a nice jab. Archibald walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Archibald is rocked! Mendoza throws out a powerful jab. Archibald is still on wobbly legs! Can Mendoza finish him? Mendoza connects with a single shot there. Archibald seems to have recovered his senses. Mendoza digs a good body shot into Archibald's ribs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Archibald walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That has opened up Adam Archibald's cut even more. Mendoza dips to his left and cracks Archibald with an uppercut! Nice jab there from Mendoza. A jab lands there for Mendoza. Mendoza connects with a looping right hand.

The cut above Adam Archibald's eye is starting to cause him problems now. A punch lands to the side of Archibald 's head but he takes it in his stride. Mendoza drops Archibald with a straight right hand, right on the button! Mendoza follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Pacquiao checks it well. Williams moves out of range of the body kick from Pacquiao.
Williams throws a leg kick that misses. Williams wants to clinch up but Pacquiao keeps it at a distance. A left lands for Pacquiao. Williams throws a head kick that misses. Williams forces Pacquiao back against the cage and clinches. Pacquiao blocks an uppercut.
Williams misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Pacquiao.
Williams lands a left hand.
Pacquiao looking for a takedown. Pacquiao tries to pull guard but Williams holds him up against the cage and eventually Pacquiao drops back down to his feet.
Pacquiao has had enough of the clinch but Williams keeps him there for the moment. Williams prevents Pacquiao from breaking the clinch. Pacquiao is trying to force a seperation but Williams has the dominant position. Pacquiao successfully pulls guard.
Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Pacquiao is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pacquiao wants to sweep but no luck. Pacquiao is looking to stand up but Williams isn't so interested in that idea. Williams drops back looking for a leg! Pacquiao is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pacquiao manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Pacquiao's guard. Williams with a flurry of punches that miss. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Williams stands and throws Pacquiao's legs to the side, diving into side control. Williams throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Pacquiao works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Williams missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Williams not landing any meaningful shots this time. Pacquiao is looking for a sweep. Williams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Williams looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Williams looks gassed! Pacquiao tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Williams trying to mount his opponent but Pacquiao defends it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pacquiao misses with a head kick.
Williams fails to land with a series of punches.
Williams with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Pacquiao to score with a decent uppercut. Pacquiao avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Williams throws the left hand but Pacquiao avoids the punch easily. Pacquiao lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Williams throws a front kick aimed at Pacquiao's knee but Pacquiao avoids it well. Williams doesn't manage to clinch there - Pacquiao circles away.

Williams walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Pacquiao drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pacquiao stands up and we're back to a striking position. Pacquiao rushes Williams and presses him up against the cage. Williams is pressed up against the cage. Pacquiao has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Williams down to the mat. Williams avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Pacquiao pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A big right from Williams misses. Williams is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pacquiao throws a sloppy head kick and Williams moves out of range easily. Williams is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pacquiao throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Pacquiao dominated that round. That's time! Pacquiao's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Pacquiao can't break the clinch.
Williams lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Williams presses Pacquiao against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Pacquiao takes a knee right on the jaw!

Pacquiao pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Williams throws a right hand that Pacquiao ducks under and follows up with a left that Pacquiao also avoids with ease. Pacquiao listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Williams is looking to clinch.

Pacquiao throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Williams's head. Pacquiao moves into range and clinches up with Williams. Williams prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Pacquiao. That's going to take a lot out of him. Williams lands with a short head shot on the inside. Williams tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Pacquiao advances nicely into full mount. Pacquiao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Williams on the ground. Pacquiao scoring with strikes but Williams is staying in there. Pacquiao misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Pacquiao can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Williams is looking to escape. Williams is trying to stand. Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pacquiao tries to control but Williams wriggling away. Pacquiao breaks from Williams's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Williams is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Pacquiao sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Williams is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Pacquiao lands a big elbow. You get the feeling that Williams really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Pacquiao with shots to the head and body - Williams looks very uncomfortable down there. Pacquiao has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Williams's face.

Lee Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Williams tries to clinch up and Pacquiao counters with a three punch combo that has Williams backing up. Williams nods at Pacquiao to acknowledge the strikes. Pacquiao changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Williams tries to avoid it but Pacquiao manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Williams to the ground. Williams escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pacquiao tries a head kick but it misses.
Williams tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pacquiao was well out of range. Poor timing from Williams. Williams walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Williams tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Pacquiao counters with a left and a right that stings Williams. Williams tries to clinch but Pacquiao is having none of it. Williams doesn't manage to clinch there - Pacquiao circles away.
Pacquiao will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pacquiao sizes up Williams with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Williams misses with a body kick. Williams is looking to clinch. Pacquiao tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pacquiao looks to land a combination. Williams sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Pacquiao circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pacquiao throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range. Thomas Pacquiao is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Williams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Williams fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pacquiao tries to score a power double leg takedown but Williams sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pacquiao somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Pacquiao. That's going to take a lot out of him. Williams lands a nice looking body kick. Pacquiao circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pacquiao scores with a three punch combo!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Williams.
Williams closes the distance but Pacquiao moves to the side and Pacquiao moves into the clinch. Pacquiao is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Williams is keeping busy. Pacquiao drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Williams gets the underhooks and prevents it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Williams thows a big elbow that misses. Williams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pacquiao pulls Williams in close to prevent any damage. Pacquiao is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Thomas Pacquiao. I think Pacquiao has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! House misses with a hook. Garcia ducked under it nicely. A telegraphed right hand from House misses the target. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Garcia. Garcia has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Garcia there as he acknowledges the shot. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts House, as that shot connected.
A punch combination from House misses. Garcia bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Eddie House seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Garcia throws a lazy right hand but House sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Garcia shoots in but House avoids the takedown attempt easily. Horrible takedown by Garcia or perhaps it was just good defense by House which made him look bad. Eddie House has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonard Garcia. House pulls out of a head kick attempt.
House looks to land a body kick but Garcia moved away. House swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. House slaps away a takedown attempt from Garcia, before circling back to the center of the mat. House's corner calls for a 1-2. House obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. House lets loose with a powerful body kick. Garcia will feel that in the morning. Nice takedown defense from House. No joy for Garcia on that attempt. Garcia takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Garcia looks gassed! House shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Garcia sprawls well. Garcia wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. House gets slowly back to his feet. House connects with the punch. House throws a good cross that connects.
House throws a leg kick but Garcia checks it. The fighters circle momentarily. House darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Garcia is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! House throws a series of punches but Garcia avoids them all with ease. Garcia is still on wobbly legs! Can House finish him? House misses with a series of wild punches.
Garcia seems to have recovered his senses. House misses with an uppercut. Garcia saw that one coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. House jabs Garcia right on the nose. Garcia blinks but takes it well. Garcia is trying desperately to land a takedown but House is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Garcia. Garcia looks up at the clock. Bad move! House lands a right hand from hell, dropping Garcia. House pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sonnen shoots in but Sozefay avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sozefay throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sonnen is defended easily by Sozefay. Sonnen shoots in for a takedown but Sozefay shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Verbiah Sozefay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Sonnen. Sozefay throws a head kick that Sonnen semi-blocks.
Nate Sonnen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A good leg kick by Sozefay. Sonnen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Sonnen is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Howe is trying to control the action in half guard but Jedi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jedi can do anything to dispel that myth. Howe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jedi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Howe is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Howe with good strikes from the mount here! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Howe working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jedi in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Howe is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jedi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Howe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jedi looks gassed!
