The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Breaker fails with the takedown. Halo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Breaker slaps away a takedown attempt from Halo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Halo shoots in looking for a takedown. Breaker tries to sprawl out of it but Halo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Kid displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rodriquez. Rodriquez shoots in for a double leg but Kid sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Rodriquez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kid sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rodriquez somewhat. Disco Kid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now.
