Bundy tries to close the distance and clinch but Papillon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lei gets caught napping as DeBlass dives in and scores a takedown. Lei manages to retain guard.
DeBlass is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lei can do anything to dispel that myth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ribeiro definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ribeiro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ribeiro wants it to stay on the feet.

Talmadge Lineburger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ribeiro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lineburger sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lineburger has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lineburger.
Lineburger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ribeiro tries to avoid it but Lineburger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ribeiro to the ground. Ribeiro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lipe Ribeiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Talmadge Lineburger.
Ribeiro uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ribeiro enables Lineburger to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ribeiro manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
