Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jin Chen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francis Almero! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chen works Almero's body with a nice hook. Almero blocks a jab. Chen throws a low kick but it's checked well by Almero. Chen does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Chen misses with the combination.

Almero closes the distance and clinches up with Chen, looking for a takedown. Almero pushes Chen against the cage but Chen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Good leg kick by Chen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Almero rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Almero shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chen but Chen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jin Chen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francis Almero. Chen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Almero on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chen. Harris shoots in for a takedown but Sagat shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Harris moves into the clinch. Sagat looking to throw knees to the head but Harris is blocking nicely.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Sagat. Sagat throws an elbow but it misses.

Rook swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rook ducks under a wild hook from Jacksonville. Jacksonville dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rook. That did some damage! Rook looks to score with a jab to the body but Jacksonville is just out of range. Jacksonville throws a jab when Rook was well out of range. Rook scores with a body shot.

Raoul Duke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Duke slaps away a takedown attempt from Cristo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
