Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Black (ranked 3625 p4p, 4434 weight class) and Jack Flayer (ranked 479 p4p, 523 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Flayer's choice of entrance music: God's Gonna Cut You Down - Marilyn Manson covers Johnny Cash. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, William Black! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Flayer! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flayer blocks the body kick.
Sloppy strikes from Black. Those never looked like landing. Flayer has managed to clinch.
Black wants a takedown.
Flayer tries to pull guard but Black won't allow it.

A nice right hand lands inside from Flayer. Flayer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Flayer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Flayer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Black moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Black can't get the takedown.
Flayer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Black just stands there and leans against the cage. William Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Flayer. Black working hard to break the clinch. Black jumps guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flayer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Black swivels though and keeps the full guard. Flayer trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Black trying to keep a closed guard but Flayer is proving a slippery customer.
Flayer lands a couple of decent looking shots. Flayer gets to his feet. Black looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Black clinches. Flayer tries for a takedown but Black manages to get underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Black breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Black shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Black tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Flayer gets a double leg takedown into Black's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flayer drops back looking for a leg! Black is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Black manages to kick Flayer off! Flayer jumps back into Black's guard. Black is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Flayer defends well. Black is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flayer passes into half guard. Flayer postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Black to stand up. Black misses with a takedown attempt - Flayer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Black catches Flayer with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jack Flayer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Black lands a nice hook to Flayer's body. Flayer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Flayer slaps away a takedown attempt from Black, before circling back to the center of the mat. Black misses with the body kick and Flayer counters with a single leg into guard. Black didn't expect that. Flayer trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flayer working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Flayer trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Flayer decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Black, up you get! Flayer looks for a takedown but Black sprawls well. Black tries a head kick but it misses.
Flayer goes for a double leg but Black avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Black continues to drive forward. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jack Flayer will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Black changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Flayer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Flayer can't do much from the bottom here. Black is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Flayer will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Jack Flayer has got the better of the ground game so far. Flayer is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Black off and has taken his back! Flayer has got one arm under Black's chin. This could be trouble... Black trying to control the other hand but Flayer gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Black has tapped out! The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Briggs wants to clinch. Fury misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fury scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Fury scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Briggs to see if he's OK. Briggs tries to buck Fury off but Fury is having none of it. Fury lands a decent elbow from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Briggs can't do much from the bottom here. Briggs takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Briggs is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Briggs tries to control but Fury manages to take his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. I really don't envy Briggs right now.
Fury is working the ground and pound. Can Briggs escape? Fury scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Briggs is rocked! Fury has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Briggs is breathing heavily. Fury softening up his opponent with strikes here.
Oh Briggs is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Fury biding his time, controlling Briggs. Fury is scoring with a succession of shots from the back. Briggs is covering up - he's had enough and the ref steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jugo Fury! A very excited looking Jugo Fury rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De La Cruz lands a left and a right that send Liondoom crashing to the mat, dazed. De La Cruz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! It looks like Albert Liondoom has been cut. Liondoom punishes De La Cruz's body with a nice straight punch. Liondoom looking to score a takedown here. De La Cruz is defending well but Liondoom drives through and ends up in De La Cruz's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Liondoom stopping the sweep attempt from De La Cruz. De La Cruz being controlled here, momentarily. Liondoom is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
