Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lukas Ravena! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Scott Shredder! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shredder takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Shredder shoots in looking for a takedown. Ravena tries to sprawl out of it but Shredder keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ravena manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ravena stuffs the takedown. Ravena could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ravena closes the distance and clinches. Ravena gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Shredder.
Lukas Ravena has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Shredder. Shredder goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ravena prevents it.
Ravena has clasped his hands together around Shredder's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Shredder tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ravena wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shredder actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shredder looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Shredder tries to get to full guard but Ravena has control of the leg. Shredder is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ravena pulls his head out easily. Shredder tries to roll over but Ravena keeps him under control.

Ravena wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shredder keeps working. Shredder looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Shredder is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ravena wants to control but Shredder is keeping him busy. Shredder wants to get back to full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shredder can do anything to dispel that myth. Shredder gets full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ravena gets to his feet - Shredder follows without any prompting. Shredder throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ravena tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Shredder is in Ravena's guard. Shredder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ravena swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shredder thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ravena might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shredder drops back looking for a leg! Ravena is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ravena manages to kick Shredder off! Shredder jumps back into Ravena's guard. Shredder drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ravena dives on top into guard. Ravena is pushing down on Shredder's leg trying to pass to half guard. Shredder is fighting to maintain full guard but Ravena has managed to sneak the leg through.

Shredder tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ravena wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ravena decides to stand back up. Ravena tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shredder swats him away and circles back towards the center. Shredder gets a takedown into half guard. Ravena manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Shredder keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shredder drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ravena gets the underhooks and prevents it.

On your feet son! Shredder shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ravena napping and manages to drive through into side control! Shredder is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ravena looks calm but he's in trouble here. Shredder gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ravena is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Shredder lets go of the hold and Ravena can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Sirah tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kristiansen defends well and Sirah ends up having to push Kristiansen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Nice takedown defense from Kristiansen. No joy for Sirah on that attempt. Kristiansen keeps the fight on the outside. Sirah with a lazy takedown attempt and Kristiansen counters with a head kick. That will keep Sirah thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Arne Kristiansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Sirah. Kristiansen checks the leg kick nicely there.

Sirah gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Sirah is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kristiansen is trying to break free. Kristiansen is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Kristiansen flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Sirah anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Kristiansen and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Sirah slips an arm under Kristiansen chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Sirah has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Sirah is squeezing on Kristiansen like an anaconda would it's prey. Kristiansen fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Lyle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Deymon shoots in but no luck this time. Lyle throws a series of punches but Deymon moves out of range. Deymon attempts a counter takedown but Lyle avoids it well and moves away. Lyle gets a double leg takedown into Deymon's guard. Lyle is standing up over Deymon. Deymon looks to escape but Lyle dives into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Deymon fails with the takedown. Deymon closes the distance but Lyle moves to the side and Lyle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A nice combination there by Lyle.
Deymon throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Deymon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Lyle slaps away a takedown attempt from Deymon, before circling back to the center of the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lyle fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Deymon moves into the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Deymon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A close round but Ron Lyle will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Lyle throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Lyle looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Deymon is fending him off so far but Lyle persists. Nope, Deymon circles away and we're back to standing. Deymon appears to be looking for a big counter. Lyle tries to clinch but Deymon moves out of range. Lyle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Crunch! Deymon slams his shin into Lyle's torso. Lyle comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Deymon lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Lyle throws a right hand that Deymon ducks under and follows up with a left that Deymon also avoids with ease. Deymon shoots in for a takedown but Lyle shows good takedown defense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lyle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Some wild striking there from Lyle.

He has hold of a leg but Deymon is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lyle persists though and gets the takedown into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lyle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Deymon keeping full guard, as Lyle tries to pass. Deymon uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deymon throws a right and a left that Lyle avoids nicely. Lyle shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Deymon napping and manages to drive through into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Deymon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lyle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Deymon wants to control but Lyle postures up. Lyle scores with a couple of short elbows. Deymon is not content to let Lyle control the position. Deymon wants to get back to his feet but Lyle drags him back down.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Reese Ling! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ling tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ling is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Ling landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
