0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, chuck Norris! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Norris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Purvis as he jumps to the side. Good shot there by Purvis. Purvis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Norris shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Purvis as he avoids it easily. Purvis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Norris pinned against the cage. Norris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Purvis tries to clinch up. Purvis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Norris closes the distance and clinches up with Purvis, looking for a takedown. Norris pushes Purvis against the cage but Purvis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dannon Purvis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of chuck Norris. Norris slips a jab and a cross from Purvis.
Purvis is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Purvis misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norris misses with a takedown attempt - Purvis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Purvis just misses with a punch to the body.
Purvis throws a right and a left that both miss. Purvis lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Purvis throws a nice outside leg kick. Purvis scores with a hook to the body. Norris takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Norris slips a jab from Purvis. Norris changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Purvis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Norris is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Purvis has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Norris tries for a kimura but Purvis is defending well. Purvis is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Norris is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Purvis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Norris tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

He's almost out here... but no, Norris gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Purvis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Norris on the ground. Norris is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Purvis has escaped the position, nice work there. Norris is working to tighten is grip on Purvis's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Purvis has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Norris is really squeezing tight and eventually Purvis passes out! Norris breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Orsolics throws a series of punches but Lipsanen moves out of range. A punch combination from Orsolics misses. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Lipsanen gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Orsolics. Orsolics wants to clinch. Danga de danga de dang - Orsolics scores with a four punch combination!

Lipsanen is still on wobbly legs! Can Orsolics finish him? Orsolics clinches up against the cage. Orsolics is trying to break free. Orsolics has had enough of the clinch but Lipsanen keeps him there for the moment. Orsolics escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lipsanen throws a right and a left that Orsolics avoids nicely. Lipsanen seems to have recovered his senses. Lipsanen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Lipsanen tries to bum rush Orsolics with a series of wild strikes but Orsolics uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lipsanen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Orsolics.
Orsolics throws a low kick, looking for Lipsanen's leg but Lipsanen calmly moves out of range. Orsolics slips a jab from Lipsanen. Lipsanen closes the distance and clinches. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Orsolics is trying to break the clinch but Lipsanen has him pressed against the cage. Lipsanen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins is looking to clinch but Suzuki is avoiding it.
Jenkins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Suzuki to the mat! Suzuki manages to get full guard. Suzuki not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jenkins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jenkins with a flurry of punches that miss. Jenkins not doing a lot at the moment. Suzuki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jenkins controls the pace. Jenkins is looking to work some ground and pound but Suzuki has wrist control. Jenkins passes Suzuki's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Jenkins thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Suzuki to regain full guard. Jenkins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jenkins loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Jenkins tries to clinch and Suzuki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Suzuki circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jenkins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jenkins tries to clinch up but Suzuki circles away and keeps his distance. Jenkins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Suzuki's waist but Suzuki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jenkins off to one side. Suzuki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jenkins throws a lazy head kick and Suzuki counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jenkins! Jenkins is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson swings around for an armbar but Ward sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jackson's guard. Jackson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ward stacks Jackson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ward! Jackson regains half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jackson is trying to get back to full guard. Ward knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.

Jackson has his foot on Ward's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ward works his way back into a safe position though. Jackson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That was a close round but I would say that Gavin Ward will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jackson shoots in and bounces Ward off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jackson looking to pass the guard. Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Ward is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ward manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Ward's guard. Ward keeping full guard, as Jackson tries to pass. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jackson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ward's guard. Jackson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jackson is working for a submission of some sort.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jackson dodges the punch combination from Ward.
