The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tesla throws a leg kick

and Cooter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tesla won't be happy with that.
Tesla tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tesla is trying to control Cooter's posture but Cooter avoids it.

Cooter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tesla has escaped the position, nice work there.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tesla has eaten all the pies!

Cooter tries for a kimura but Tesla is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tesla is looking to regain half guard here but Cooter keeps moving and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cooter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cooter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cooter has hold of Tesla's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tesla manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Cooter throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Tesla because Cooter loaded up on that one.
Cooter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tesla has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cooter is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tesla.
