Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Durant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Zapata!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zapata keeps the fight on the outside.
A punch lands to the side of Zapata 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Zapata shoots in and drives through. Durant sprawls well.
Durant was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
No joy there for Durant, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zapata takes one on the button.
Zapata pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Durant connects with the punch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Zapata!
Durant swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No luck for Zapata with that takedown attempt.
Durant stalks Zapata and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Zapata's face. Zapata staggers backwards, shaken.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Durant throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A jab from Durant does it's job there.
Durant lands an overhand right.

Zapata has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Durant lands with a thumping leg kick.
Zapata tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Durant manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zapata lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Durant circles away quickly and effectively.
Nice jab there from Durant.
Durant lands with a right hand.
Durant lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Durant jabs Zapata to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Durant connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Decent striking displayed by Durant there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Durant lands with a thumping leg kick.
Durant dips to his left and cracks Zapata with an uppercut!

Durant thuds his right hand into Zapata's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Durant scores with a shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Durant throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Durant jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Durant moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Durant getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Durant lands a nice leg kick that just misses Zapata's sensitive parts.
No luck for Zapata with that takedown attempt.
Tom Durant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Zapata.
Durant looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A decent looking cross lands there for Durant.
Durant changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Durant changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zapata looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Zapata looks winded!
Durant staying calm.

Durant's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Durant stands up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Zapata tries to close the distance and clinch up but Durant swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Durant lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Durant scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Durant is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Durant works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Danga de danga de dang - Durant scores with a four punch combination!
Zapata fails with the takedown.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Durant lands with a straight right. Zapata didn't see that one coming.
Zapata takes a jab right on the kisser.
Zapata has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Zapata fails with a takedown attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Durant dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Zapata shoots in looking for a takedown but Durant manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zapata's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Durant jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Durant tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zapata takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Zapata shoots for a double leg takedown but Durant sprawls well. He's pushed Zapata's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Durant cracks Zapata with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Durant lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Zapata pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Durant scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Zapata doesn't seem bothered though.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Durant, as that shot connected.
Tom Durant is winning the standup battle so far.
Zapata throws a left and a right that both miss
and Zapata takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tom Durant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Durant connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zapata momentarily.
Zapata is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Durant lands with a thumping leg kick.
Durant cracks Zapata with a right hand to the side of the head.
Zapata is still on wobbly legs! Can Durant finish him?
Zapata is breathing heavily.

Durant sends Zapata crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Durant is motioning to the referee to let Zapata up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Tom Durant is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Durant closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Zapata! Durant dives in looking to finish! Zapata is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Durant!
Tom Durant seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
