Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between DeMarco West (ranked 4382 p4p, 4225 weight class) and Ronny Barber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ronny Barber enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronny Barber!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Barber counters with a right hand to the body.
Barber lands a slapping body shot.
West tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Barber defends well and West ends up having to push Barber into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Barber pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A combination from West does no damage.
West moves out of range of the body kick from Barber.
Barber connects with an inside leg kick.
Barber moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
West throws a head kick that misses.
Barber is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
West keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Barber. Those never looked like landing.
West avoids the body shot from Barber.

West changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barber looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Barber tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barber really doesn't want to stay on the ground with West. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

West tightening his grip on Barber, looking for the choke.
What can Barber do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
