Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Asim Ferhatovic! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferhatovic has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ferhatovic pulls guard. Kerr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kerr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kerr postures up in Ferhatovic's guard and throws a big left but Ferhatovic blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ferhatovic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kerr is one step ahead there. Kerr with a nice head shot there. Kerr has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ferhatovic is proving hard to escape from. Kerr throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ferhatovic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kerr fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ferhatovic pushes Kerr up against the cage in a clinch. Kerr doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr looking for a takedown. Kerr drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ferhatovic gets the underhooks and prevents it.

It looks like Matt Kerr has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ferhatovic moves into the clinch. Kerr tries for a takedown but Ferhatovic manages to get underhooks.

Let's hope that Ferhatovic has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kerr won't allow Ferhatovic to sweep him here. Kerr thows a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ferhatovic holds on and takes a little breather. Ferhatovic manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ferhatovic circles away quickly and effectively. Kerr is breathing heavily. Kerr shoots in looking for a takedown. Ferhatovic tries to sprawl out of it but Kerr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ferhatovic manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ferhatovic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kerr, pushing him back against the cage. Nice body punch from Ferhatovic - that landed with a thud.

Ferhatovic shoots for a takedown but Kerr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kerr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ferhatovic. Ferhatovic closes the distance and pushes Kerr back into the cage. Ferhatovic breaks from the clinch.

No, Kerr has escaped the position, nice work there. Kerr is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ferhatovic taking a breather here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ferhatovic misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

No chance. Ferhatovic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Still in half guard, Ferhatovic seems content to control.

Not much technique there but it did the business. Jab, jab by Ferhatovic - just one landing. Ferhatovic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ferhatovic shoots in and drives through. Kerr sprawls well.

Ferhatovic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kerr's waist but Kerr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferhatovic off to one side. He's hooked one of Kerr's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kerr's back! Kerr wants to get back to his feet. Ferhatovic throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Watanabe misses with a hook. Cole shoots in and bounces Watanabe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Cole stops Watanabe from standing up.

Watanabe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The fight stays on the outside here - Cole looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Watanabe misses with a body kick. Cole keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Watanabe. Cole ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Watanabe looks to land a left hand but Cole moved out of range nicely. Cole shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Watanabe manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Watanabe throws a body punch but Cole moves out of range. Cole lands with a nice body punch. Cole steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Watanabe. Watanabe pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Cole listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Luigi Watanabe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cole tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Watanabe swivels and escapes. Watanabe missing with a left hand there. Cole was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Cole fails to land the takedown. Watanabe looks to land a right hand but Cole moved out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Watanabe throws a hook to the side of Cole's head but Cole sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Watanabe tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cole is able to avoid easily. Watanabe misses with a straight left. A telegraphed right hand from Watanabe misses the target. Cole closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Cole is trying to move to mount but Watanabe reverses beautifully and ends up in Cole's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Watanabe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Cole prevents Watanabe from moving into mount.

Xerman swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Lecter's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

It looks like Justin Credible has been cut. Justin Credible seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dmitriev's corner calls for a 1-2. Dmitriev obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Credible defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dmitriev. Credible thows a body shot but no joy. Dmitriev staying out of range there. Credible fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dmitriev ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Dmitriev lands with a right and another and another! Credible is in big trouble! Dmitriev lands again and this time it's lights out for Credible! A quality knockout there for Dmitriev.

Hymen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Walker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Walker rushes Hymen and presses him up against the cage. Hymen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Walker pulls him back up using the underhooks. A nice right hand lands inside from Walker. Walker dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Walker.

Walker digs a right hand underneath Hymen's ribcage. Hymen let out a lung full of air as it connected. Walker throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hymen on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Hymen is not content to let Walker control the position. Hymen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Walker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kid throws a looping overhand right but Eld ducks down to avoid it. Kid takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
