The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Da Cunha throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Light Heavyweight seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Light Heavyweight avoids the head kick by Da Cunha.
Light Heavyweight tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Da Cunha manages to circle out of the way. Light Heavyweight moves out of range of the strikes. As Da Cunha tries to get set, Light Heavyweight tries to push him back and clinch up but Da Cunha manages to avoid the attempt. Da Cunha has taken the fight to the clinch.
Da Cunha is trying to maintain a safe position but Light Heavyweight gets an underhook and turns Da Cunha into the cage. Light Heavyweight dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Light Heavyweight taking a breather. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yacine Amokrane! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amokrane slaps away a takedown attempt from Riverriei, before circling back to the center of the mat. Amokrane looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Amokrane tries to clinch there but Riverriei circles away.
Amokrane lands a really nice looking cross but Riverriei seems unphased.
Sloppy strikes from Amokrane. Those never looked like landing. Riverriei tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Amokrane defends well and Riverriei ends up having to push Amokrane into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Riverriei could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Riverriei struggles to land a body shot inside as Amokrane controls his hands.
Amokrane is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Riverriei breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Amokrane lands a head kick!
Amokrane moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amokrane tries to pull guard but Riverriei won't allow it.
Riverriei is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexanda Riverriei. That's going to take a lot out of him. Amokrane gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Riverriei.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Riverriei fails with the takedown. Amokrane pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Riverriei back to the cage. Amokrane follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. It looks like Alexanda Riverriei has been cut. Amokrane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Riverriei tries to counter by clinching up but Amokrane breaks away and moves out of range. Riverriei looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Riverriei moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Amokrane throws a sloppy head kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Amokrane scores with a jab to the head.
Amokrane gets in close and instigates a clinch. Amokrane manages to break the clinch.
Riverriei clinches with his opponent.

Amokrane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Riverriei is working away from the top position though. Riverriei thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Riverriei stands up and beckons Amokrane to join him on the feet. Amokrane pushes Riverriei up against the cage in a clinch. Amokrane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Amokrane shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Amokrane scores with a jab.

It looked like Riverriei was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Riverriei shoots in looking for a takedown. Amokrane tries to sprawl out of it but Riverriei keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Amokrane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Amokrane throws a big counter head kick but Riverriei avoids it with no problem. Amokrane throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Amokrane connects with a right hand. Riverriei shakes it off. Amokrane misses with a series of wild punches.

As Amokrane tries to get set, Riverriei tries to push him back and clinch up but Amokrane manages to avoid the attempt. Amokrane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Riverriei manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Amokrane keeps the fight on the outside. Amokrane moves in looking to clinch but Riverriei pushes him off. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Amokrane lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Amokrane swings away with a body shot that misses
and Riverriei counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Riverriei. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Amokrane has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Riverriei keeps control of Amokrane as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Amokrane decides to pull guard. Amokrane trying to keep a closed guard but Riverriei is proving a slippery customer.

Amokrane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Riverriei is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riverriei decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Yacine Amokrane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riverriei takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Amokrane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Riverriei moves away. Riverriei throws a counter high kick but Amokrane was just alert enough to avoid it. Amokrane moves out of range as Riverriei throws a body kick.

Amokrane has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Alexanda Riverriei is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Riverriei misses with a takedown attempt - Amokrane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Riverriei closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Amokrane has one foot on Riverriei's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Amokrane fails to land with a series of punches.

Riverriei darts in looking for a takedown but Amokrane gets double underhooks and turns Riverriei into the cage.

Riverriei has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Amokrane is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Amokrane decides to pull guard. Amokrane is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Amokrane can't get the takedown.

Amokrane has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Amokrane wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The fight stays on the outside here - Amokrane looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Riverriei blocks a leg kick. Riverriei throws a quick counter head kick but Amokrane was just out of range. Good shot there by Amokrane. Amokrane gets in close and instigates a clinch. Amokrane is trying to break the clinch but Riverriei has him pressed against the cage. Amokrane manages to break the clinch.
Riverriei moves into the clinch. Riverriei pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riverriei swats away the attempt to clinch by Amokrane. Riverriei throws a head kick that misses. Riverriei takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Riverriei feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Amokrane has his feet on Riverriei's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Riverriei takes a shot right to the bread basket. Riverriei is looking to clinch. Amokrane looks to land a combination. Riverriei sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Alexanda Riverriei has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yacine Amokrane is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. A jab from Amokrane does it's job there.
And that's the end of the fight! Yacine Amokrane comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Amokrane has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Musasa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gane was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Musasa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gane circles away. Musasa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gane to score with a decent uppercut. Gane lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. It looks like Yves Musasa has been cut. Gane lands with a cross. Musasa explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Musasa tries for a takedown but Gane circles away easily and Gane connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Musasa takes one to the chin there. Musasa is rocked! I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Gane has cracked Musasa with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Gane lands another huge swinging hook and Musasa tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Musasa, before Gane can land any more shots!

Evans lands a big head kick that sends Davis tumbling to the mat! Evans takes a step backwards and waves Davis back to his feet - he wants the finish! Davis is rocked! It looks like James Davis has been cut. Davis wants to stay close but Evans steps back to make room for something. Davis seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Evans and Davis drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ziskin connects with a nice short shot to Smith's temple. Trumbauer tries to counter with a clinch but Van Der Livery shakes him off and moves away. Van Der Livery sizes up Trumbauer with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. It looks like Toboggan Trumbauer has been cut. Van Der Livery cracks Trumbauer with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Van Der Livery has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Trumbauer to stand back up! Trumbauer is rocked! Van Der Livery connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Trumbauer out cold! This one is over in a flash!
