Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Danny sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.

Johnson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Danny pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Horrible takedown attempt by Rinaudo or perhaps it was just good defense by Sheppard, which made it look bad.
Sheppard fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Rinaudo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rinaudo showed some decent athleticism there.

Sheppard has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Rinaudo is on him like a limpet, forcing Sheppard back against the cage.
Sheppard stops a takedown attempt from Rinaudo.
Sheppard wants to get back to striking at distance but Rinaudo won't allow it.
We've been hearing reports that Rinaudo has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Rinaudo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sheppard fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Blackwater is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Flex gets his way!
