The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bastard misses with a right hand and Waffles counters by clinching up. Bastard blocks an uppercut.

and Bastard counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Bastard lands a big right hand that sends Waffles crashing to the mat! Bastard stays standing though and waves Waffles back to his feet! Waffles is rocked! Bastard drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Waffles's head, knocking him out cold! Bastard is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Traynor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gordon. Traynor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Gordon shoots for a takedown but Traynor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice uppercut lands for Traynor. That snapped Gordon's head back.
Gordon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Traynor tries to escape but Gordon is in control. Gordon trying to control the position but Traynor is working away. Gordon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Traynor is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Traynor is pushing Gordon's head away, looking to escape. Gordon manages to hold on to the position though. Traynor on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gordon has Traynor pulled in close to control his posture. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ryan Gordon will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Gordon fails with a takedown attempt. Charles Traynor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gordon dives in for a single leg takedown but Traynor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Traynor tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Traynor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Traynor tries to stand but Gordon is controlling from the bottom. Gordon is pulling down on Traynor's head. It's preventing any offense from Traynor, at least for the moment. Gordon working a defensive guard here.
Traynor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gordon holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gordon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Gordon doesn't succeed with the takedown and Traynor counters with a stiff right hand. Traynor's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Traynor duly obliges. Gordon fails with a takedown attempt. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Gordon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gordon throwing strikes from guard but Traynor blocks nicely. Traynor keeping moving, preventing Gordon from controlling successfully.

Charles Traynor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Gordon with a poor takedown and Traynor counters with a stiff right hand. Gordon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Gordon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Charles Traynor seems to be getting the better of the standup. Gordon takes a jab right on the kisser.

Traynor tries to avoid it but Gordon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Traynor to the ground. Traynor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gordon shoots in but no luck this time. Gordon with a lazy takedown attempt and Traynor holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Knox cracks Banks with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Knox has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Banks to stand back up! Banks is rocked!
