The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot by steele. Jacobs bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacobs trying to control the position but steele is working away. Jacobs is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. steele knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jacobs tries for a kimura but steele is defending well. steele takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
