The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Traev gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Godfrey has hold of one of Traev's legs. Traev is fighting the takedown attempt but Godfrey gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Godfrey postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kortenhorst has Ning pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kortenhorst pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ning tumbling to the mat - Kortenhorst dives into Ning 's guard.
Kortenhorst slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Ning is trying to improve his position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kortenhorst is working to tighten his grip on Ning 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ning has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kortenhorst is really squeezing tight and eventually Ning passes out! Kortenhorst breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Jungle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Butler sprawls well. Butler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jungle gets slowly back to his feet.
