This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Andronicus Unimanus! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Sophus Antias! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#CL2# Antias has closed the distance and engaged Unimanus in a clinch.
Antias tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Unimanus just stands there and leans against the cage. Unimanus has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Antias avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Unimanus is looking to take this one to the mat. Unimanus is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Antias pulls him back up using the underhooks. Antias's coach down at Cozad MMA Rio was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Antias's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andronicus Unimanus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Unimanus looking for a takedown. Unimanus has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Antias after a bit of a struggle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Unimanus is trying to drag Antias to the mat but Antias just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Our sources have told us that Unimanus has been working on his elbows in the gym. Unimanus goes for a takedown in the clinch but Antias prevents it.

#TD2# Antias gets control of Unimanus's arms and successfully pulls guard. Antias will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Unimanus wants to control from the top but Antias keeps moving. #SUB# Unimanus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Unimanus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #SUB2# Antias is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Antias keeping moving, preventing Unimanus from controlling successfully. Unimanus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Antias on the ground. Unimanus's corner is telling him to maintain position.#SUB2# Antias has his foot on Unimanus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Unimanus works his way back into a safe position though. Antias trying to keep a closed guard but Unimanus is proving a slippery customer.

Unimanus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Antias is tightening it up a little... Unimanus has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Unimanus reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Unimanus taps out! Nice BJJ there by Antias!

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#TD# Bhullar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Bhullar (2) vs (0) Jones Bhullar looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are battling for position here. Jones manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Bhullar won't allow Jones to sweep him here. Bhullar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bhullar looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Bhullar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bhullar in particular looking to stall. Bhullar's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Jones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bhullar is working away from the top position though. Bhullar performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Jones felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next. Jones is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bhullar! #SUB2# Jones is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bhullar has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Jones keeps control of the position easily here as Bhullar tries to buck him off.
#SUB2# Jones has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Bhullar! Can he survive? No! He's out! Jones gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
