The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsi closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Sloppy strikes from Marsi. Those never looked like landing.
Rodri has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rodri throws a looping overhand right but Marsi ducks down to avoid it.

Marten Marsi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooh!!! Rodri has knocked Marsi down with a huge combo! Rodri steps away and waves a wobbly Marsi back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marsi steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rodri. That one must have hurt.
Marsi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rodri connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Rodri counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Marsi! He's just covering up as Rodri starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Tyson drops Loco with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Loco looks back up at him and smiles so Tyson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Xolo Loco has been cut.
The fighters circling - Tyson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Loco swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Tyson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Loco sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Tyson counters with a big left hand that crumples Loco! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

Kimura shoots in looking for a takedown. Faletau tries to sprawl out of it but Kimura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Faletau manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kimura is trying hard to land a takedown here. Faletau sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Las Vegas (ranked 1119 p4p, 1333 weight class) and Titan Zeus (ranked 56 p4p, 69 weight class). Titan Zeus will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Las Vegas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Titan Zeus!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vegas slips under a jab from Zeus.
Zeus getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Zeus misses the shot to the body.
Vegas tries for a takedown but Zeus circles away easily
and Zeus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Las Vegas has been cut.
Zeus throws a nice looking combination but Vegas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Vegas tries to counter with a takedown but Zeus is quick to defend against it.
Zeus looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Zeus cracks Vegas with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Vegas looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Zeus finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zeus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vegas moves away.
Vegas shoots in for a takedown but Zeus shows good takedown defense.

and Zeus counters with a nice right hand that sends Vegas toppling to the canvas! Vegas scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Zeus finish him?!
Vegas is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Las Vegas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zeus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oh Vegas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big left from Zeus misses.
Vegas seems to have got his legs back now.
Vegas shoots in but Zeus avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Zeus drops Vegas with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Vegas looks back up at him and smiles so Zeus waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Vegas has been working on his balance at PhoQus Island Training, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Zeus.
Zeus displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vegas.
Zeus throws an overhand right that lands on Vegas's shoulder, as Vegas tries to avoid the shot.

Vegas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zeus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zeus is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Vegas controlling the position from side mount.

Vegas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vegas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Vegas working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Zeus wants to control but Vegas postures up.
Vegas is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Zeus will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Vegas working the ground and pound.

Vegas staying calm.
Zeus avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Vegas.
Zeus tries to improve position but can't.
Vegas creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Vegas lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Zeus down.
Zeus gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Vegas has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Zeus's face.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zeus can do anything to dispel that myth.

Vegas has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Zeus is forced to tap!
