Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Herman Dampfhammer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Donny Solade! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dampfhammer lands with a nice body punch. Dampfhammer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. It looks like Donny Solade has been cut. Dampfhammer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Solade on the wrong end of a nice hook. Solade walks into a left hand. Dampfhammer waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Solade. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Solade to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Solade is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dampfhammer wants to control from the top but Solade keeps moving. Solade is still in real trouble! Can Dampfhammer finish him? Dampfhammer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Solade seems to have recovered his senses. Solade looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Solade thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Solade is striking but Dampfhammer is not phased and passes to half guard. Solade is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dampfhammer scores with a couple of nice shots. Dampfhammer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dampfhammer is nestled in close to Solade, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Solade is looking for a sweep. Dampfhammer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Solade keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Solade is looking to get back to full guard here but Dampfhammer has managed to pass to side control instead. Solade tries to strike but it doesn't land. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dampfhammer misses with the ground and pound. Sloppy strikes there by Dampfhammer. Solade is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Dampfhammer is one step ahead and moves to full mount! BOOM! Dampfhammer connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Dampfhammer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Solade looks winded! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dampfhammer with a couple of short strikes. Dampfhammer definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Dampfhammer cracks Solade with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

We've been told by Harju's head coaches at A Stander’s Paradise that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Harju takes a swing at Ling's ribcage but misses. Ling is looking to clinch. Ling takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Harju throws a hook but Ling avoids it easily. Harju misses with a two punch combination.

Carter's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Maui is working Carter over against the cage. Maui lands with a left to the head. Carter is rocked! Maui dips a shoulder and cracks Carter with a mighty uppercut! Carter falls back against the cage and Maui unloads with a barrage of strikes! Carter is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Maui screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Shakespeare definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Dren Jr slips under a jab from Shakespeare. Shakespeare lands a body shot.
Zdravko Dren Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A left and a right from Dren Jr both land. Nice combination. Shakespeare lands with a shot to the body. Dren Jr cracks Shakespeare with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Zdravko Dren Jr seems to be getting the better of the standup. Dren Jr thows a leg kick but Shakespeare checks it and Shakespeare counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Dren Jr is breathing heavily. Sari looks to land a right hand but Thompson moved out of range. Thompson cracks Sari with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Thompson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sari tries for a takedown but Thompson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. An attempted straight right counter from Thompson misses the target. Sari takes a swing at Thompson's ribcage but misses. Thompson just misses with a punch to the body.
A little jabbing left from Sari on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Thompson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sari. Thompson drops his hands momentarily and Sari takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Sari has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Thompson scores with a nice strike. Thompson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Thompson throws the left hand but Sari avoids the punch easily. Thompson misses the shot to the body. Sari ducks under a wild hook from Thompson. Thompson swings away with a body shot that misses
and Sari counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Thompson! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thompson tries to buck Sari off but Sari is having none of it. Thompson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Thompson throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Sari manages to pass to side control.

Thompson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sari is really squeezing tight and eventually Thompson passes out! Sari breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Man wants to lay and pray for a moment but Manu keeps working. Man lands a decent elbow from side control. Manu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Manu tries to get out of the position. Man swings around for an armbar but Manu sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Man's guard. Man can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Manu controls the pace. Man is looking for a triangle but Manu pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Manu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Man is pulling down on Manu's head. It's preventing any offense from Manu, at least for the moment. Manu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Man has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Manu has managed to get both his arms back between Man's legs - danger averted. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hicks lands with a straight right. Richard didn't see that one coming. Hicks slips a straight right by Richard. Nice body punch from Hicks. Hicks throws a nice inside leg kick. Hicks jabs Richard to the body, keeping him at a distance. Richard throws a poor cross that misses
and Hicks counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hicks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hicks misses the shot to the body. Richard feints the counter takedown. Hicks swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Richard counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hicks! Hicks explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Hicks is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hicks lands the left hand. Hicks ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Hicks misses with a two punch combination.

This has been an exciting period of action! Richard is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hicks will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Hicks wants to control but Richard postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richard controlling from side mount. Richard is looking to take a break and control but Hicks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Hicks is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at PhoQus Island Training, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Richard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hicks knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Richard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hicks looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hicks wants to get back to his feet but Richard is dominant here and he's now got Hicks's back! Richard missing with strikes. Richard controlling the position well here. Hicks rolled but Richard kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Richard is not going to allow Hicks to sit and survive in this position. Richard has good solid back control here.

Richard has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Richard shoots in looking for a takedown but Hicks manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Richard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hicks is looking to counter punch. Richard misses with a right hand and Hicks counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hicks lands a nice shot that snaps Richard's head back.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Semenov misses with a takedown and Jang Jai counters with a nice uppercut. It looks like Kirill Semenov has been cut. Jang Jai stuffs the takedown. It looked like Jang Jai was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Semenov. Semenov dives in and scores a takedown into Jang Jai's guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Semenov working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Jang Jai not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
