Nice defenses there by Read.
Mike stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mike wants it to stay on the feet.
Read shoots for a double leg takedown but Mike sprawls well. He's pushed Read's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Read walks into a left hand.
Read fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Killer Mike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonard Read.
Mike clobbers Read with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Mike drives through and clinches with Read against the cage.
Mike stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Kovacevic looks to throw the jab but Butler is out of range.
Butler takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Butler throws an overhand right that lands on Kovacevic's shoulder, as Kovacevic tries to avoid the shot.
Butler has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Butler misses with a wild body shot.
Butler takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kovacevic lands a head shot.
Butler avoids the body shot from Kovacevic.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kovacevic drops Butler with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Butler looks back up at him and smiles so Kovacevic waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kovacevic feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Butler sprawling to the canvas! Butler rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kovacevic finish him?!

Butler is rocked!

Butler ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kovacevic. Butler does a little dance to reset his feet.
Butler thuds a left hand into Kovacevic's body.
Kovacevic throws a hook to the side of Butler's head but Butler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kovacevic's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Butler connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kovacevic scrambles back to his feet.

Kovacevic swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A nice side step and Butler releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
