Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lether Gwani! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Devin Brusellsprouts! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gwani lands a nice shot to the body.
Brusellsprouts tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gwani paws at him with a jab and circles away. Brusellsprouts fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gwani manages to avoid it. Brusellsprouts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gwani throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brusellsprouts stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Gwani connects with a jab. Brusellsprouts closes the distance but Gwani moves to the side and Brusellsprouts takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Brusellsprouts tries to close the distance and clinch but Gwani swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A low kick from Brusellsprouts misses and Gwani counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Brusellsprouts has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Brusellsprouts closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Gwani cracks Brusellsprouts with an open hand slap. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brusellsprouts pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice straight punches there by Gwani. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gwani. Brusellsprouts is rocked! Gwani works Brusellsprouts's body with a nice hook. Gwani moves out of range of the body kick from Brusellsprouts.
Brusellsprouts tries to bum rush Gwani with a series of wild strikes but Gwani uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Brusellsprouts finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brusellsprouts throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gwani counters with a straight right hand. Brusellsprouts wants to land a leg kick but Gwani is out of range. Gwani connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brusellsprouts. Brusellsprouts circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Brusellsprouts is still on wobbly legs! Can Gwani finish him? Gwani goes for a small jab and connects. Now Gwani goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Brusellsprouts stumbles back but Gwani runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Brusellsprouts to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Brusellsprouts will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Muvaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marlon Lag! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Lag shoots in for a double leg but Muvaka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Lag closes the distance and clinches up with Muvaka, looking for a takedown. Lag pushes Muvaka against the cage but Muvaka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Muvaka seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Lag fails with a takedown attempt. Muvaka seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Ben Muvaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marlon Lag. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lag.

Lag pushes Muvaka against the cage but Muvaka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. As Lag tries to get set, Muvaka tries to push him back and clinch up but Lag manages to avoid the attempt. Lag shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Muvaka is trying to defend but Lag finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Muvaka is looking to get back to is feet but Lag passes into side control.
Lag throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Lag working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Muvaka bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lag throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Muvaka's waist but Muvaka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lag off to one side. Marlon Lag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lag fails with a takedown attempt. Muvaka is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Lag. Lag looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lag with a poor takedown and Muvaka moves into the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lag is trying to trip Muvaka. He has hold of a leg but Muvaka is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lag persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Lag landing some decent shots from guard. Muvaka is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muvaka wants to get back to his feet but Lag is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Muvaka knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lag on the ground. Lag postures up in Muvaka's guard and throws a big left but Muvaka blocks it. Muvaka utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Muvaka on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Muvaka tries to get out of the position. Lag working some strikes from top position. Lag passes Muvaka's left leg - he's now in half guard. Muvaka wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Muvaka looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Lag not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lag working Muvaka over with strikes. Lag working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lag is trying to control the action in half guard but Muvaka is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lag working the head and body with strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lag stops Muvaka from getting back to his feet.
Lag wants to work for an arm triangle but Muvaka is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Lag is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A close round but Marlon Lag will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Lag shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Muvaka defends it nicely. Marlon Lag is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lag throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Muvaka's waist but Muvaka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lag off to one side. Muvaka tries to counter by clinching up but Lag breaks away and moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lag shoots in and bounces Muvaka off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Muvaka is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lag is controlling him.

Lag trying to control the position from guard on top but Muvaka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Muvaka wants to stand up but Lag is controlling him. Lag content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Lag working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Muvaka's head. Muvaka keeping moving, preventing Lag from controlling successfully. Lag with a nice head shot there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lag postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lag working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lag trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lag won't allow Muvaka to get back to his feet. Muvaka pushes Lag off and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lag fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Muvaka avoids it really well and circles away. Lag shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Muvaka as he jumps to the side. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Lag tries for a takedown but Muvaka circles away easily and Muvaka counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Muvaka. Muvaka tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Lag goes for a takedown attempt but Muvaka pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lag doesn't succeed with the takedown and Muvaka counters by moving into the clinch. Lag takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Muvaka lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Marlon Lag has been cut. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Muvaka here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Muvaka lands a good knee to the midsection. Lag won't want to take too many of those. Muvaka manages to break the clinch.
Lag looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Muvaka is fending him off so far but Lag persists. Nope, Muvaka circles away and we're back to standing. Muvaka is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Lag. Muvaka slaps away a takedown attempt from Lag, before circling back to the center of the mat. Muvaka wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lag gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Muvaka counters by moving into the clinch. Muvaka is leaning against Lag and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Muvaka breaks from the clinch.
Lag shoots and misses and Muvaka counters by moving into the clinch. Muvaka landing some nice looking knees to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Muvaka with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Muvaka connects with a nasty looking knee right to Lag's face.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muvaka unloads a knee to the mid-section. Muvaka lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Muvaka lands a big knee to the head and Lag goes down! Muvaka pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shimada is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chinaski. Shimada lands a lovely overhand right. Shimada swings for the body but Chinaski moves out of range.

Shimada throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Shimada definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Shimada lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chinaski looks to land a left hand but Shimada moved out of range nicely. Shimada drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chinaski sprawls and moves away. Shimada ducks under a wild hook from Chinaski. Chinaski wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Shimada connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chinaski moves out of range of the strikes. Shimada misses the shot to the body. Shimada throws a combination that misses and Chinaski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. It looks like Misao Shimada has been cut. Shimada misses with a hook. Chinaski ducked under it nicely. Shimada throws a predictable looking body shot
letting Chinaski counter with a right hand. Shimada takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Chinaski's coach down at PhoQus Island Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Chinaski's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Shimada misses with a shot to the body letting Chinaski counter with a right hand. Shimada slips a jab from Chinaski. Shimada throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Chinaski counters with a crisp one two that drops Shimada! Chinaski thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Shimada to his feet! Shimada is in big trouble! Shimada is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! BAM! Chinaski delivers a spinning backfist that drops Shimada like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

Netaniahy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Peccati fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Netaniahy to the ground. Peccati is now in Netaniahy's guard. Peccati passes easily into side control. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Netaniahy wants to get back to his feet but Peccati drags him back down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peccati is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Netaniahy is trying to escape and Peccati transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Netaniahy is forced to tap! Nice work there by Peccati! Very nice indeed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McCocker doesn't seem bothered though. Jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McCocker. Jones lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Jake Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McCocker takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jones looks to land a right hand but McCocker moved out of range. Jones defending well as McCocker loads up on a big left hand. Jones lands a jab to the nose. A swing and a miss from McCocker. Jones slips under a jab from McCocker. Jones misses with a hook. McCocker swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. McCocker takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jones throws a hook to the side of McCocker's head but McCocker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A jab from Jones finds it's way through McCocker's defenses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McCocker is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
McCocker throws a jab but it's blocked by Jones. McCocker throws out a token jab with nothing on it. McCocker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones. McCocker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard. McCocker looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCocker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones controlling the position. McCocker sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jones's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is defending against the submission attempts here by McCocker.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McCocker tries to advance to mount but can't. McCocker is trying to get an arm triangle but Jones is defending well. McCocker goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jones rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McCocker's guard! Nice work there by Jones! McCocker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well. McCocker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well.

McCocker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McCocker is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Jones rolls with it to try and escape but McCocker cranks on the arm and Jones is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ning defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jassim. Jassim shoots in but Ning avoids the takedown attempt easily. No luck for Jassim with that takedown attempt. Wee Ning has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mo Jassim. Ning wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Jassim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ning but Ning pushes him off and we're back to square one.
