Batara Sari told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sari blocks a head kick by Schmeichel.
Sari moves out of range of the body kick from Schmeichel.
Sari takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Some bone on bone action there as Sari checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Schmeichel looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Sari closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Schmeichel did well to prevent Sari getting side control.
Schmeichel is trying to escape back to his feet but Sari uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Sari is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Schmeichel has escaped the position, nice work there.
Schmeichel wants to control but Sari postures up.
Sari is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

It looks like Sari might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It seemed like Sari was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Ryan Holiday has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mo Jassim.

Holiday is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Jassim lets go of the hold and Holiday can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Kyoraku cracks Allen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Davey Allen has been cut.
Kyoraku stuns Allen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Allen doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Kyoraku to counter with a crisp jab.

Kyoraku lands a left and a right that send Allen crashing to the mat, dazed. Kyoraku thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Allen moves out of range as Kyoraku strikes.
Allen changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Kyoraku's coach down at Elite Island Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kyoraku's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Kyoraku cracks Allen with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Allen looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kyoraku finish him?
Oh Allen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kyoraku lands a big uppercut and Allen crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Allen looks OK. Kyoraku waves Allen back to his feet!
Oh Allen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Davey Allen's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Allen walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Allen limp body while Kyoraku jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
