Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Test Dude! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dude Test! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Test tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dude manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Test throws a head kick but Dude moves out of range.
Dude gets tackled into the cage by Test. Test maintains the clinch. Test breaks from the clinch.
Test misses with a head kick.
A little feinted left hand from Dude on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Dude fails in his attempt to clinch. Test wants to counter with a clinch but Dude pushes him away. Test misses with a combination
and Dude counters with a series of strikes. Test will be more careful next time no doubt. Test is looking to clinch but Dude is avoiding it.
Test closes the distance and pushes Dude back into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Test stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Test prevents a takedown attempt there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dude slows down the pace here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dude is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Dude slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dude is looking to take a break and control but Test is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dude tries to move to mount but Test blocks the move with his legs. Dude tries to stand but Test is controlling his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Test tries to get to full guard but Dude has control of the leg. Dude not doing much here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Test has managed to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dude jumps guard.
Test has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dude is proving hard to escape from. Dude seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Dude keeping moving, preventing Test from controlling successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Zander Woods has got the better of the ground game so far. Woods moves nicely into side control. Woods creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mackintosh sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Woods is working Mackintosh over with some ground and pound from side control. Mackintosh is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Woods remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That was a close second round but I would say that John Mackintosh will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Mackintosh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Woods paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mackintosh lands with a slapping head kick. John Mackintosh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Woods closes the distance and clinches. Woods performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Woods. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Newman! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barros throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Newman's waist but Newman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barros off to one side. Newman raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Barros pushes Newman up against the cage in a clinch. Newman pulls guard effortlessly. Barros stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control.
