Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Old Bravo (ranked 4109 p4p, 4138 weight class) and Sauli Pekkinen (ranked 314 p4p, 0 weight class). Sauli Pekkinen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Old Bravo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sauli Pekkinen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pekkinen jabbing away but nothing is landing. Good standup being displayed there by Bravo as he connects with a hook. Pekkinen lunges at Bravo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bravo's hand. Bravo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bravo jabs Pekkinen right on the nose. Pekkinen blinks but takes it well. Bravo throws a one two combo.
Pekkinen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bravo to score with a decent uppercut. Bravo lands the left hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pekkinen misses with an uppercut. Bravo saw that one coming. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Bravo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pekkinen. Pekkinen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bravo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pekkinen throws out the jab. Pekkinen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pekkinen misses with a straight right. Pekkinen throws a hook but Bravo avoids it easily. Pekkinen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Bravo lands with a nice combination. Pekkinen backs away looking to recover. Pekkinen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bravo misses with a looping left. Pekkinen lands a really nice looking cross but Bravo seems unphased.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bravo lands a nice looking body shot.
Pekkinen throws a shot from downtown. Bravo moves away and avoids it. Pekkinen misses with a lunging right hand
and Bravo counters with a series of strikes. Pekkinen will be more careful next time no doubt. Bravo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pekkinens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A swing and a miss from Pekkinen. Bravo seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Bravo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pekkinen. Bravo was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Bravo throws a hook to the side of Pekkinen's head but Pekkinen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Nice defenses there by Bravo. Bravo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. A big right from Pekkinen misses. Bravo attempts a counter takedown but Pekkinen avoids it well and moves away. Bravo slips under a jab from Pekkinen. Pekkinen misses with a straight left. Pekkinen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bravo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bravo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pekkinen avoids it really well and circles away. Pekkinen looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Pekkinen throws a hook but Bravo blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pekkinen loads up on a big right hand but Bravo slips the punch. Nice defenses there by Bravo. Bravo looks to throw the jab but Pekkinen is out of range. A swing and a miss from Pekkinen. Bravo attempts a counter takedown but Pekkinen avoids it well and moves away. Pekkinen throws a shot from downtown. Bravo moves away and avoids it. Bravo slips under a jab from Pekkinen. Bravo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pekkinen. Bravo was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Pekkinen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Bravo is breathing heavily. Pekkinen misses with a left hand and Bravo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pekkinen thinking. Bravo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pekkinen swivels and escapes. A swing and a miss from Pekkinen. Bravo on the wrong end of a nice jab. Pekkinen looks to land a right hand but Bravo moved out of range. Pekkinen misses with an uppercut. Bravo saw that one coming. Pekkinen throws a poor cross that misses
and Bravo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pekkinen thinking. Pekkinen lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Bravo falls backwards - clearly groggy! Pekkinen dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belingon lands a nice hook to Pekkinen's body. Pekkinen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Belingon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pekkinen moves away. Belingon missing with a left hand there. Pekkinen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pekkinen with a jab. Belingon misses the shot to the body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Belingon scores with a decent looking hook. Pekkinen tries to clinch there but Belingon circles away.
Belingon lands with a good body shot. Belingon bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pekkinen's head. Pekkinen throws a hook to the side of Belingon's head but Belingon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Belingon scores with a hook. Belingon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pekkinen moves away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Belingon scores with a jab to the head.
Pekkinen closes the distance and clinches. Belingon can't break the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Pekkinen. Pekkinen lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Belingon wants to stall.
Pekkinen digs a right hand into Belingon's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Belingon's gas tank. Belingon wants to get back to striking at distance but Pekkinen won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pekkinen's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. A head punch on the inside from Belingon fails to land. Pekkinen displaying some good clinch control by pressing Belingon up against the cage. Pekkinen stalling.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Belingon blocks an uppercut.
Pekkinen is struggling to control the position. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Niko Pekkinen. Belingon fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Pekkinen looks to score with a jab to the body but Belingon is just out of range. Pekkinen takes a body punch but keeps moving. Good exchange - Belingon coming out on top. Belingon misses with a straight right. Pekkinen closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Belingon's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Belingon stalling.
Pekkinen scores with a nice hook to the head. Belingon blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
This has been an exciting period of action! Pekkinen misses with a short punch on the inside. Belingon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Belingon throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Belingon moves out of range of the strikes. Belingon ducks under a wild hook from Pekkinen. Belingon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Pekkinen tries to clinch up. Pekkinen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Belingon. A telegraphed right hand from Pekkinen misses the target. Belingon digs a good hook to Pekkinen's body.
Belingon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Niko Pekkinen has been cut. Belingon connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pekkinen's hands. Pekkinen closes the distance and clinches. Pekkinen is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Belingon is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pekkinen goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pekkinen pushes Belingon back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Pekkinen throws a head punch that misses. Belingon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Belingon swings for the body but Pekkinen moves out of range.
Belingon lands with a good body shot. Pekkinen thows a left - swing and a miss! Belingon ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Joker Belingon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Belingon throws a hook but Pekkinen avoids it easily. A big right from Pekkinen misses. Belingon connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Belingon misses with a hook to the body
and Pekkinen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Pekkinen on the wrong end of a nice jab. Belingon stuns Pekkinen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Belingon cracks Pekkinen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Belingon has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pekkinen to stand back up! Pekkinen is rocked! Pekkinen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Oh Pekkinen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Belingon fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Belingon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Pekkinen is breathing heavily. Pekkinen drops his hands momentarily. Belingon doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Pekkinen staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Pekkinen doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joker Belingon!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flamenco throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Onedro sees it coming and avoids it easily. Onedro tries to bum rush Flamenco with a series of wild strikes but Flamenco uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Flamenco slips a straight right by Onedro. Onedro looks to land a combination but Flamenco avoids it well. Flamenco ducks under a wild hook from Onedro. Onedro throws the kick towards the body but Flamenco avoids it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Flamenco! But no joy. Onedro tries to clinch but Flamenco is having none of it. Flamenco lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Onedro throws the left hand but Flamenco avoids the punch easily. Onedro shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Flamenco throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Flamenco will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Onedro tries to bum rush Flamenco with a series of wild strikes but Flamenco uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Onedro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Flamenco is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Onedro presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Onedro really is a fat lump. Flamenco lands a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. A short uppercut from Flamenco. Flamenco lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Flamenco tries to work over Onedro's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Flamenco tries a body shot but Onedro blocks it.
Flamenco lands a shoulder strike. Onedro tries to break free but Flamenco pushes him back against the cage. Flamenco has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Flamenco prevents Onedro from breaking the clinch. Flamenco lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. A right handed body shot lands from Flamenco.
Flamenco keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Onedro's efforts to push away. Flamenco breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Onedro moves away from the strike by Flamenco. Onedro misses with a straight left.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flamenco lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. It looks like Andrew Onedro has been cut. Flamenco connects with the punch. Flamenco throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Flamenco sends Onedro crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Flamenco is motioning to the referee to let Onedro up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Onedro is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Flamenco lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Onedro up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Flamenco from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Onedro's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Don Flamenco! Don Flamenco decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Cash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdul Taleb! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cash tries to clinch up but Taleb circles away and keeps his distance. Cash gets a clinch. Cash misses with a punch to the body.

Cash swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Taleb's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cash steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Taleb. Cash is looking to counter punch. Cash cracks Taleb with an open hand slap. Cash takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Taleb's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cash connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Taleb scrambles back to his feet. Taleb gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Cash with a hook. Taleb slips under a jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cash uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Taleb throws an overhand right that lands on Cash's shoulder, as Cash tries to avoid the shot. Cash with a hook. Taleb is rocked! Cash feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Taleb sprawling to the canvas! Taleb rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cash finish him?!
Taleb is still on wobbly legs! Can Cash finish him? A swing and a miss from Taleb. Taleb throws a hook but Cash blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cash lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Taleb head around and knocks him out cold! Cash hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
