The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon throws a right and a left that Gonzalez avoids nicely.
Nice body punch from Gonzalez.
Cannon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gonzalez is looking for the big counter here.
Cannon is breathing heavily.
Gonzalez with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Gonzalez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cannon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gonzalez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cannon circles away quickly and effectively.
Cannon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gonzalez feints a jab promting Cannon to slip. Gonzalez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cannon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Trey Cannon has been cut.

Gonzalez lands a left and a right that send Cannon crashing to the mat, dazed. Gonzalez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Some wild striking there from Gonzalez.

Gonzalez cracks Cannon with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Cannon looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gonzalez finish him?
Cannon is rocked!
Judas Gonzalez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gonzalez lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Cannon out cold! Cannon is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Snake feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Clay manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Clay has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blakkendecker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Blakkendecker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Clay is proving hard to escape from.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Clay bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blakkendecker's guard.

Blakkendecker wants to sweep here but Clay controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Clay stands and throws Blakkendecker's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Clay has an Americana. Blakkendecker didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Clay is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Clay hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
