Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitchell Lamb! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Bob Jackson! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lamb shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jackson is trying to defend but Lamb finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jackson is trying to stand up here but Lamb is controlling him well. Jackson has one foot on Lamb's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Lamb avoids a punch combination nicely.
A little feinted left hand from Lamb on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Jackson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Lamb takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lamb shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Lamb on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Lamb has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Lamb scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lamb has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jackson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Lamb yanks on the arm and Jackson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Lamb.
