The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilcox shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wilcox was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wilcox misses with the ground and pound. Gilmore is looking for a sweep. Gilmore manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Wilcox trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wilcox tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gilmore defends well and Wilcox ends up having to push Gilmore into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Gilmore is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Wilcox is trying to pull guard but Gilmore turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Memphis Wilcox. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gilmore gets control of Wilcox's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gilmore will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Gilmore looking to control.

Wilcox comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Gilmore has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wilcox finds it's way round the side to connect with Gilmore's head.

Wilcox shoots in and drives through. Gilmore sprawls well. Wilcox stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilcox wants it to stay on the feet. No luck for Wilcox with that takedown attempt. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gilmore misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Gilmore lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wilcox tries to clinch but Gilmore moves out of range. Wilcox misses with a takedown attempt - Gilmore sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stein but Stein pushes him off and we're back to square one. Stein tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Smith shoots for a takedown but Stein saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Smith sets himself, and Stein steps forward looking for the clinch! Smith avoids it this time. Stein tries to clinch up. Stein closes the distance looking to clinch and Smith counters with a takedown into side control. Smith throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stein tries to strike but it doesn't land. Stein pushes Smith away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Smith gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Smith trying to control the position but Stein is working away. Smith lands a decent elbow from side control.

Smith decides to stand up, so the ref orders Stein to his feet. Stein is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Smith changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Smith shoots in but Stein avoids the takedown attempt easily. Smith definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Smith is trying to drag Stein to the mat but Stein just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Smith has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stein after a bit of a struggle. Smith has clasped his hands together around Stein's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Smith swings around for an armbar but Stein sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Smith's guard. Smith is breathing heavily. Stein has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Smith is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stein drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Stein as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Smith screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Stein! Nice submission victory there!
