Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arabian Beattie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Nickerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Beattie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Danzig - Mother . Nickerson has chosen I Stand Alone as his entrance music. Vincent Nickerson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vincent Nickerson! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beattie rushes Nickerson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Nickerson misses with the head strike.
Nickerson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A battle for position here, against the cage. Beattie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nickerson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nickerson tries to bum rush Beattie with a series of wild strikes but Beattie uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Beattie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Beattie tries to score with some ground and pound. Nickerson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Nickerson tries to improve position but can't. Beattie trying to control the action but Nickerson is working from the bottom. Nickerson is looking for a sweep. Beattie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Nickerson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Beattie but great work by Nickerson. Beattie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nickerson is looking to take a break and control but Beattie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Beattie is trying to get back to half guard. Beattie is not content to let Nickerson control the position. You can see the frustration on Beattie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Beattie tries to bench press Nickerson off him but Nickerson keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Beattie sneaks back into half guard. Nickerson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beattie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Beattie is trying to control but can't.

Nickerson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Beattie to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nickerson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Beattie pulls down on the head and he's put Nickerson to sleep! This one is all over!

Ragnar Hammerson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hammerson moves out of range of the strikes. Hammerson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before miyamoto has time to react. miyamoto throws a hook but Hammerson avoids it easily. miyamoto pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hammerson is out of range and miyamoto settles back down. Hammerson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speedos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Viitalainen tries to avoid it but Speedos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Viitalainen to the ground. Viitalainen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Viitalainen throws a low kick but Speedos moves out of range easily. Viitalainen throws a nice outside leg kick. Speedos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Viitalainen's waist but Viitalainen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Speedos off to one side. Speedos takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Viitalainen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Viitalainen wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Speedos. Viitalainen lands a leg kick that knocks Speedos off balance momentarily. Oh Speedos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Viitalainen throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Speedos seems to have got his legs back now. Speedos takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Viitalainen wants to clinch up but Speedos keeps it at a distance. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Viitalainen, right into the meat.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Viitalainen throws a nice head kick!

Speedos drops his hands momentarily and Viitalainen needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Speedos just on the top of the head. Speedos drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Speedos - he's done!

Kolari postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kolari throwing strikes from guard but Gracie blocks nicely. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drake walks into a straight right hand from Ivanovits. Ivanovits clobbers Drake with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Drake swinging wildly here.
Drake throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ivanovits. Ivanovits misses with a wild body shot. Ivanovits dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A bone on bone clash there as Drake blocks the leg kick.
Drake tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Ivanovits tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Drake was well out of range. Poor timing from Ivanovits. Drake slips a jab from Ivanovits. Drake doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Drake throws a head kick but Ivanovits moves out of range.
Drake finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Drake lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ivanovits's sensitive parts. Drake with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ivanovits to score with a decent uppercut. This has been an exciting period of action! Ivanovits connects with a looping right hand.
Drake is breathing heavily. Ivanovits lands a slapping body shot.
Ivanovits clobbers Drake with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Nice shot by Ivanovits. Ivanovits ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ivanovits lands an overhand right. Ivanovits takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Ivanovits throws a head kick but Drake moves out of range.
Drake has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ivanovits. Ivanovits has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ivanovits, as that shot connected.
Donk. Ivanovits catches Drake right on the button with a cross.
Drake is rocked! Drake walks straight into a right hand from Ivanovits - that's dropped him! Ivanovits jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Drake from any more punishment! Drake complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Damian Swan! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Maynard throws a hook but Swan blocks it. Swan fails in his attempt to clinch. Swan scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Maynard lands a glancing blow to the side of Swan's head. A combination from Swan does no damage. Swan throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Damian Swan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Swan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maynard sees it coming and avoids it easily. Swan throws a body punch but Maynard moves out of range. Swan throws a nice looking combination but Maynard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Swan tries to clinch but Maynard moves out of range. Maynard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Swan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Swan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Maynard counters with a nice low kick that buckles Swan's knee momentarily. Swan tries to keep at a distance but Maynard has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee calls for Maynard to work.
Swan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Maynard is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. No joy there for Maynard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Maynard has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Swan finds it's way round the side to connect with Maynard's head. A nice combination there by Swan.

Maynard forces Swan back against the cage and clinches. Maynard dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Maynard is pressed up against the cage. Swan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Maynard down to the mat. Maynard avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Decent striking displayed by Maynard there. Maynard cracks Swan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Swan falls off balance throwing a combination

It looks like Damian Swan has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Maynard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Swan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. An inside leg kick from Maynard misses. Swan looks to land a combination. Maynard sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Swan throws a left and a right that both miss
and Maynard counters with an outside leg kick.
Swan throws a sloppy head kick and Maynard counters with a left to the body. Nice uppercut there from Maynard. Maynard fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Left hook, right uppercut from Maynard. Swan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Swan tries to clinch up and Maynard cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Maynard dominated that round. The cut man is working on Damian Swan's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Maynard counters with a left and a right that stings Swan. A decent looking cross lands there for Maynard. Maynard lands a brutal head kick. Swan looks out on his feet and Maynard throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
