4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Karl Jonas Angstrom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Austin Ricketts! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Ricketts misses. Angstrom tries to clinch but Ricketts moves out of range. Angstrom shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ricketts controls Angstrom momentarily but Angstrom frees himself. Angstrom not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Angstrom chips away with some ground and pound. Angstrom distracts Ricketts with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Angstrom controlling from the top position. Angstrom wants to pass the guard but Ricketts is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Angstrom is working hard here to advance position. Angstrom wants to control from the top but Ricketts keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Angstrom stopping the sweep attempt from Ricketts.
Karl Jonas Angstrom has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Angstrom shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Angstrom seems to be working for a kimura but Ricketts defends the submission attempt. Angstrom is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Angstrom is thwarting Ricketts's attempts to control the position. Angstrom moves into full mount! Ricketts won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Angstrom is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ricketts has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ricketts! Angstrom uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Angstrom decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ricketts is trying to maintain the position but Angstrom is very close to passing his half guard. Angstrom scoring with strikes to the body and head. Angstrom controlling the action here. Angstrom throws a strike but Ricketts avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Angstrom advances position into side control! Ricketts looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Angstrom working the head and body with strikes. Angstrom working the ground and pound. Angstrom tries to advance to mount but Ricketts denies him. Angstrom working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Ricketts is rocked! Angstrom lands a strong strike to the head of Ricketts. That's dazed him! Angstrom looking to finish here. Ricketts is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Angstrom lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Edmund Blackadder! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Gonzalez. Gonzalez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Gonzalez tries to clinch up. Gonzalez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Blackadder at a distance.
Gonzalez throws a right and a left that both miss. Blackadder fails to land the takedown. Gonzalez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Gonzalez fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Blackadder checks it well. Juan Gonzalez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gonzalez lands a two punch combo.
Blackadder is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gonzalez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Blackadder at a distance.
Blackadder looks gassed! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gonzalez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Blackadder has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Blackadder and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Nice body punch from Gonzalez. Gonzalez throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Blackadder colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Gonzalez as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Blackadder is left battered and dazed whilst Gonzalez and his camp cheer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vander swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Vander, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wong tries to clinch but Vander moves out of range. Vander tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Wong displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Vander tries to clinch up but Wong circles away and keeps his distance. Vander throws a combination that misses and Wong counters with a shoot takedown. Vander fights it but they end up in guard. Wong controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vander swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vander on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Vander tries to get out of the position. Wong trying to control the position from guard on top but Vander is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vander will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wong throws and elbow that misses. Vander uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wong's guard. Nice move by Vander!
That's one minute gone in the round. Vander wants to stand and escape but instead Wong has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Wong postures up in Vander's guard and throws a big left but Vander blocks it. Wong sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vander's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wong takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Wong trying to control the action but Vander is working from the bottom. Wong thows a huge punch but Vander dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wong perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Vander is looking to escape. Vander is refusing to be controlled, as Wong sits in half guard. Wong wants to pass to mount but Vander is defending the position.
Edgar Poe Wong has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Wong fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vander on the side of the head. Vander slips a jab and a cross from Wong.

and Wong counters with a flying knee. Nice. Vander leaves Wong with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Johnathon Vander is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Vander throws a lazy right hand but Wong sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Wong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vander moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Vander throws a series of punches but Wong avoids them all with ease. Vander wants to clinch up but Wong keeps it at a distance. Horrible takedown by Wong or perhaps it was just good defense by Vander which made him look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice shot by Wong. A right-left combo lands from Wong. Wong fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Johnathon Vander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edgar Poe Wong. Vander swings for the body but Wong moves out of range.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vander misses with a combination
and Wong counters with a series of strikes. Vander will be more careful next time no doubt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vander clinches but Wong breaks the clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Wong counters with an inside leg kick. Wong buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wong takes one on the button. Vander throws a combination that misses and Wong counters with a stiff right hand.

and Wong counters with a one-two to the body. Oh Vander is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wong connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Vander tumbling to the canvas! Wong pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Vander was done - good stoppage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lahti throws a right hand that Choji ducks under and follows up with a left that Choji also avoids with ease. Lahti lands a left and a right that send Choji crashing to the mat, dazed. Lahti thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Akimichi Choji has been cut. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lahti stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lahti wants it to stay on the feet. Lahti throws a right and a left that Choji avoids nicely. Horrible takedown by Choji or perhaps it was just good defense by Lahti which made him look bad. Nice sprawl there from Lahti as Choji shoots in. Waltteri Lahti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akimichi Choji. Lahti scores with a hook to the body. Choji takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Choji looks gassed! Lahti lands a slapping body shot.
Lahti cracks Choji on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Choji falls backwards against the cage. Lahti follows up with more strikes that drop Choji to his knees. Lahti keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Choji! This one is all over!

Collins avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Cox. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Collins can do anything to dispel that myth. Cox tries to score with some ground and pound. Collins controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Cox is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Collins has escaped the position, nice work there. I wouldn't like to be where Collins is right now. Cox misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Collins is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cox is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This could be trouble! No, Collins has managed to free his arm - good work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Collins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cox's waist but Cox gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Collins off to one side. Michael Collins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cox tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Collins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
