This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 25 wins and 53 losses; David McDonald! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 12 wins and 10 losses; Roman Kersikov! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kersikov. McDonald seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Kersikov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kersikov is defended easily by McDonald. David McDonald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roman Kersikov. Kersikov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McDonald tries to avoid it but Kersikov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McDonald to the ground.
