12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Swanson! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swanson with a nice cross. Silva gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Swanson. Jab by Swanson. Swanson lands a nice shot to the body.
Joe Swanson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Swanson wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Swanson sprawls well. Silva shoots in for a double leg but Swanson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Silva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Silva there as he acknowledges the shot. Swanson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Swanson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Swanson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Silva has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Swanson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Silva. Silva is trying to escape the position but Swanson is controlling the position. Swanson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Silva tries to buck Swanson off but Swanson is having none of it. Silva manages to get back to half guard. Silva looking for submissions off his back. Swanson wants to stand but Silva is controlling the position. Silva looking to pass the guard. Swanson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Silva misses with a takedown and Swanson counters with a single leg into guard. Silva didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gao Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No, Silva has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are battling for position here. Silva manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Swanson wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Swanson is one step ahead there. Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Swanson is aware though and is defending well. Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Swanson's guard.

He's being very persistent here but Swanson manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Swanson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Joe Swanson. Well Swanson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. The fighters circle momentarily. Johnson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Danga de danga de dang - Johnson scores with a four punch combination! This has been an exciting period of action! Johnson cracks Vera with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Vera looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Johnson finish him?
Vera is rocked! Johnson swinging wildly here.
Johnson drops Vera with a beautiful combination! Vera stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Johnson is looking for the KO! Johnson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vera. Vera throws out a leg kick but Johnson moves out of range and Vera only half commits. Some wild striking there from Vera.

It looks like Jay Johnson has been cut. A lazy left from Johnson finds it's target. Johnson scores with a jab. Vera acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Vera looks gassed! Johnson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Johnson lands a left and a right that send Vera crashing to the mat, dazed. Johnson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Vera is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him? Johnson lands with a shot to the body. Johnson throws an overhand right that has Vera reeling! Johnson follows up with more punches and Vera is out cold! This one is all over!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Battlestation can do anything to dispel that myth. Battlestation tries to get back to half guard but can't. Head wants to finish this one by submission but Battlestation is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Head. Battlestation tries to hold on but Head postures up. Head controlling the pace for now. A nice elbow there by Head.

Battlestation throws a combination that misses and Head counters with a three punch combo that has Battlestation backing up. Battlestation nods at Head to acknowledge the strikes. A combination from Head does no damage. Head shoots in for a takedown but Battlestation shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Battlestation. Head does a little dance to reset his feet. Battlestation stuffs the takedown attempt from Head. Head gets slowly back to his feet. Battlestation throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Head on the side of the head. Battlestation stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Head ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Battlestation moves away. Battlestation cracks Head with a right hand to the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Battlestation lands with a right hand. Head misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Head. That's going to take a lot out of him. Head misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Battlestation is nestled in close to Head, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Head is trying to get back to full guard. Battlestation is keen to just control but Head is a slippery customer. Battlestation throwing shots but Head is blocking nicely. Head is staying active underneath Battlestation, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Battlestation working Head over with strikes. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Al tries to clinch but Lennon is having none of it. Al swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Al attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Lennon throws a head kick that misses. Lennon blocks a low kick nicely. Al misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Al lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lennon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lennon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Al scores with a shot to the body.
Al misses the shot to the body. Lennon lands a jab-cross combination. Al goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lennon just misses with a punch to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snake Hunter shoots in looking for a takedown. Snuka tries to sprawl out of it but Snake Hunter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Snuka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Snake Hunter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snuka tries to avoid it but Snake Hunter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snuka to the ground. Snuka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Snake Hunter on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Snuka throws a nice outside leg kick. Snake Hunter looks gassed! Snake Hunter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Snake Hunter fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jimmy Snuka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dutch Snake Hunter. Snuka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Snuka wants it to stay on the feet. Snuka lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freddy Fernandez! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wellington throws a sloppy head kick and Fernandez moves out of range easily. Wellington closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wellington stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Fernandez blocks a body shot from Wellington. Wellington working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Wellington with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Freddy Fernandez has been cut. Wellington scores with a knee to the head.
Wellington lands an uppercut.
Fernandez is rocked! Wellington lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Fernandez. Fernandez is still on wobbly legs! Can Wellington finish him? A short body shot lands from Wellington as the two fighters clinch.
Fernandez seems to have recovered his senses. Fernandez looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wellington presses Fernandez against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Wellington scores with a nice hook to the head. Wellington drops Fernandez onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Fernandez is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Wellington lands a shoulder strike. Wellington throws a big uppercut that drops Fernandez! More strikes from Wellington and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Fernandez lies dazed against the cage as Wellington celebrates with his cornermen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luda scores with a head kick.
Lee fails to land with a series of punches.
Luda lands a nice looking body shot.
Luda uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lee has time to react. Luda throws a push kick but Lee slaps the foot to one side. Luda checks the leg kick nicely there.
Lee scores with a one two! Luda had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. A clash of legs there as Lee blocks the low kick. Lee looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Luda lands with a right hand. Luda attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Luda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Luda takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A left lands for Luda.
It looks like Rufus Lee has been cut. Lee throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Luda takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Christopher Luda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee cracks Luda with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Luda looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lee finish him?
Luda is rocked! Lee checks the leg kick nicely there.
Luda is still on wobbly legs! Can Lee finish him? Luda jabbing away but nothing is landing. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Luda checks a leg kick. Luda seems to have recovered his senses. Luda looks to throw the jab but Lee is out of range. Lee blocks a head kick by Luda.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luda lands with a kick to the temple. Lee shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Luda swinging wildly here.
Lee throws a leg kick but Luda sees it coming and checks it nicely. Luda throws a leg kick that is checked and Lee counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. No joy there for Lee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lee connects with a single shot there. Lee waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Luda. A slapping leg kick lands for Lee.
Good leg kick by Lee there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Lee lands a big right hand that sends Luda crashing to the mat! Lee stays standing though and waves Luda back to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Lee throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Luda is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
